Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

This Easy Air Fryer Asparagus is ready in just 12 minutes and comes out perfectly crispy and tender every time! The dish is typically under 50 calories per serving and is an easy, quick, healthy side dish that goes well with any dinner. There are easy ways to make this my favorite: bacon, simple seasoned asparagus with olive oil and garlic, or cheesy parmesan asparagus! This means no more soggy asparagus from steaming and you don’t have wait for the oven to preheat or heat up the house. This is one of the easiest vegetable side dishes you’ll make all week.

Air fryer asparagus is the perfect weeknight side dish. I love that the hot air creates crispy, caramelized edges while keeping the inside tender, which is hard to do with other cooking methods. Perfect for weight maintenance, weight loss, and Weight Watchers as well. For me i love that asparagus is packed with fiber, folate, iron, and vitamins A, C, and K, making it as nutritious as it is delicious. The best part? You can customize the flavor to match whatever you’re serving by keeping it simple with salt and pepper, wrapping it in bacon for special occasions, or adding parmesan for extra indulgence.
A Note From Jenny
When starting any healthy lifestyle, consult a doctor to address any personal health concerns. Some things can only be addressed medically and by a professional. Blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before starting and at least once a year, as these all can affect an active lifestyle.
With so many different programs, such as Weight Watchers, Keto, and macros, it can be hard to know what to pick. (If you’re interested in Weight Watchers, you can sign up -> here and sign up for $10/month for 10 months.)
I personally use the app Myfitnesspal to track my food. I use macros and focus on High Protein (calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates) and rotate through cuts and maintenance calories. (Use a calculator like this -> here) . I did WW for years, but now that I am more maintenance, with cuts throughout the year, and focusing on mobility with strength training. There is no right or wrong answer, as all bodies are different.

How To Cook Air Fryer Asparagus:
Snap the ends of your asparagus off; I bend them and let them naturally snap at the spot it gives in the thicker end of the asparagus. You can use scissors to clip the ends of them off.
Wash your asparagus off in a strainer and allow them to dry off; I love using an over-the-sink strainer.
If you need to pat dry your asparagus before getting ready to cook.
Spray your air fryer rack or basket. I have the PowerXL 8 Quart Air Fryer I received to review and love; the racks work amazingly to cook for a bigger family.

The next steps will vary depending on how you cook your asparagus.
How To Make Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus
If cooking with bacon, wrap a slice around 2-3 pieces of asparagus asparagus spears and stick them together with a toothpick.

How To Make Seasoned Asparagus
If cooking with oil and seasonings, coat in olive oil spread out on your rack, and then season.
For cooking with cheese, coat your asparagus with oil and then spread it out on the rack.

YUM! I love asparagus.
The asparagus looks delicious. I wish my grandma was still here, she had fresh asparagus in the garden. She would have loved this recipe.
