This Weight Watchers Garlic Chicken Recipe is a favorite for my whole family! Finding meals that the whole family will love can be hard. This falls in line with a low-point dinner on the Weight Watchers plan.

Now, as a mom, I love how easy this is;, no prep work, and the taste is fantastic!!! We have crazy nights with soccer and the kid’s schedule; it is amazing how we manage to get dinner on the table some nights. I must say we will make this again with fried rice! The garlic chicken tastes Chinese cuisine and would have been to go with fried rice!!! The recipe for this I followed came from Food.com.

WHAT IS Weight Watchers?
When starting a new weight loss program or diet change, consult a doctor or physician about personal health concerns. It is a good idea to have blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before and during being on the WW program.
New to Weight Watchers?? Also known as WW, a weight loss program uses points assigned to food to track and lose weight. When you sign up, you take an assessment that will assign you a point value to eat daily and a weekly allowance. You can carry over 4 points from the day into your weekly budget, which is handy when you need more points.
I have been on Weight Watchers since 2011. They have had Points Plus Value, WW Smartpoints, Blue Plan, Green Plan, Purple Plan, WW Personal Points, and now Weight Watchers Points. The new Weight Watchers Simplified plan is the new program launched in November 2022 similar to previous plans like WW Smartpoints, with some color plans. ( You can see the Weight Watchers Zero Point Foods 2023 -> here)
No matter the WW plan, they work to help you learn healthy eating habits. I have hit lifetime goal weight several times but stopped operating the plan and tracking, so the weight does creep back on. You stay on as a lifetime member, working towards your goal. Head on over ->here to get a month for free.
Weight Watchers Garlic Chicken With Brown Sugar Ingredients:
- Chicken Breasts– You could use boneless chicken thighs, which will give the chicken more calories and higher points on Weight Watchers.
- Minced Garlic
- Brown Sugar
- Olive Oil
- Foil
- Nonstick Spray
How To Make Weight Watchers Garlic Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.
Spray a 9X13 pan or sheet pan with non-stick spray, then cover the 9X13 pan or sheet pan with foil and then nonstick spray the foil.
Now funny story with this I didn’t read through all the comments when I first made this to see the tin foil warning. The brown sugar and the juices burned and ruined my pan completely. Trust me, tinfoil and spray under the tin foil, to the foil and sugar can also stick. See what happened the first time I made this with no foil?

Next, lay your chicken breasts in your baking pan on top of the sprayed tinfoil.

If you are looking for a way to bulk-buy chicken breasts in individual wrapping, I highly suggest Perdue Farms! I love that they have a package of 15 lbs of breasts for a great price!! (see it-> here)

In a small frying pan, warm up your olive oil and add in the minced garlic on med-high heat.
Once the oil-garlic mixture is warm, add the brown sugar and cook into a thick gooey mixture.

Pour the garlic mixture over the chicken, and use a basting brush to cover the chicken breast completely.

Bake in the oven for about 20-30 minutes until it temps at 160 degrees and is done.
Use a meat thermometer to verify it is 160 degrees for each breast.

Serve with rice or a side salad!!
This chicken is also so good that I eat it just by itself, and the cold chicken is amazing on salads as well!!
WEight Watchers Garlic Chicken Point Breakdown

On the Weight Watchers plan, my chicken worked to 2 points for a serving. This could be less, depending on how big of a serving you do.
Now you will need to replug with what you deem a serving size and how much your chicken weighs too.
