Now as a single mom I have to admit that getting to the gym is not always possible with the kid’s activities and work. Resistance Bands- Now these can be an easy workout at home and can also be taken on trips to get in a work out while out of town. They are very budget friendly as well to grab to have at home. They can be used to add resistance to cardio or to build muscle and strength.

Jump Ropes- This can be a super basic but great cardio equipment. Jumping rope uses both large leg muscles and small arm muscles at one helping smooth and tone while getting the heart rate up. This high-intensity cardio burns fat and calories quickly. Plus if you travel a lot this can easily be thrown in the car or suitcase for workouts on the go.

Excerise Ball-> An exercise ball is great for working the core. You can use it for ab work as well as replace your computer chair with it for an easy way to work your core while you work on other things.
Foam Rollers-> Foam rollers are great for yoga and using to help work kinks out of tight overworked muscles. These inexpensive pieces of workout equipment are great for adding challenge to everyday classics like push-ups that can benefit from a slight balance change to activate more muscles.
Yoga Mat-> Every home should have a yoga mat. These take away the excuse of not having a safe and comfortable place to workout.
