Easy No Mayo Coleslaw with Greek Yogurt Dressing

This no mayo coleslaw with Greek yogurt dressing is creamy, tangy, and comes together in about 5 minutes. Just swap out mayo for nonfat Greek yogurt to keep it lower calorie and low fat, just 38 calories per serving with 0 grams of fat, but still has the creaminess of great coleslaw. It’s the side dish I bring to every BBQ, potluck, and cookout because it travels well, feeds a crowd, and always gets compliments. WW friendly, has protein, and macro-tracker approved too.

My trick for any potluck is to bring something I actually want to eat, so that I’m not stuck picking around food that doesn’t work for me. This coleslaw fits that perfectly, and it has protein. It’s low calorie and high protein I can pile it on my plate, it pairs with almost anything from the grill, and it takes less than 5 minutes to throw together. When the main dish is already a lot of work, easy side dishes are everything.
One of my favorite “tricks” to a healthy lifestyle or WW and potluck dinners/potluck BBQs is to ensure I take something I like.

In a large bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, the honey, and the apple cider vinegar. I used a small whisk to make sure that everything combined smoothly to make a creamy coleslaw mixture.

To get the lowest WW Points and calories you will want to use the nonfat greek yogurt, other yogurts will be lower point value then mayo but the zero fat will add no points.

Once the Coleslaw dressing has been mixed, mix in the dry coleslaw mix. I did this by adding half the bag of coleslaw and mixing it with the dressing, then adding the other half.
If you choose to use a head of cabbage, you will need to shred it and the carrots and purple cabbage either with a food processor or a knife.
Once well mixed you can serve or store in the fridge before serving.

Tips From A Former KFC Manager
Fun fact: I worked for KFC as a general manager from 2005-2008, where I made the KFC Coleslaw daily. The employees wore gloves up to their elbows to mix the dry cabbage mix with the premixed dressing. You could easily tell the pockets of dry coleslaw apart.
Additionally, they allow their coleslaw to be prepared up to 6 hours in advance before serving or overnight. They then package into containers or pans for the line.

Store the coleslaw in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-5 days. The liquid from the creamy dressing will settle at the bottom, so be sure to stir well before serving or transferring it to a serving dish, such as a large bowl or a big bowl.
