This 4 Ingredient Stove Top Meatloaf recipe is one of my go tos for a busy weeknight dinner. It is made with just four ingredients and is a quick and family-approved recipe perfect for busy weeknights. If you have never made meatloaf, this is the perfect recipe to try!

This recipe was first made in 2012 and was updated in 2023
The first time I made this, I wasn’t sure the kids would eat this!! I had never made a traditional meatloaf, but the fact it was an easy meatloaf recipe sold me on trying it. This was a flavorful meatloaf, and the whole family loved it. Plus if you are on a lower-calorie diet, this is a great way to lower the calories on the main dish of your meal.
Why You’ll Love This Meatloaf
- No Prep Time! Mix and bake!
- Budget-Friendly Ingredients
- Low-calorie but full of flavor
- Perfect for meal prep

Turkey Stovetop Meatloaf Ingredients:
- Egg– I used a large egg.
- Stove Top– The flavor of the stove top stuffing mix doesn’t make much difference. Turkey stuffing and chicken stuffing are my go-to, but this would be tasty with Savory Herb Stuffing.
- Water
- Ground Turkey– The store I went to only had 90% turkey, so there were more calories in mine than the 99% one which is zero points.

How To Make Stovetop 4 Ingredient Meatloaf Recipe:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Beat together the egg and 1 cup of water in a large bowl.
Mix the ground turkey and Stove Top into the water and egg mixture.

Spray a bread pan loaf or grease down. I love my glass Pyrex loaf pans; I never have an issue with food sticking to them.
Put the meat mixture into the sprayed loaf pan and smash it down. I smahsed the meatloaf mixture with my hands for this part.
* A meatloaf pan is not necessary with the turkey, as there will not be a lot of grease that will be cooked out. If you end up using a pound of ground beef, there will be more grease that cooks out.*

Bake for about 45 minutes!!! You will want to use a meat thermometer to ensure the ground turkey has cooked all the way through. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees.
Allow to rest 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Serve and enjoy!

A Note From Jenny
When starting any healthy lifestyle, consult a doctor to address any personal health concerns. Some things can only be addressed medically and by a professional. Blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before starting and at least once a year, as these all can affect an active lifestyle.
With so many different programs, such as Weight Watchers, Keto, and macros, it can be hard to know what to pick. (If you’re interested in Weight Watchers, you can sign up -> here and sign up for $10/month for 10 months.)
I personally use the app Myfitnesspal to track my food. I use macros and focus on High Protein (calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates) and rotate through cuts and maintenance calories. (Use a calculator like this -> here) . I did WW for years, but now that I am more maintenance, with cuts throughout the year, and focusing on mobility with strength training. There is no right or wrong answer, as all bodies are different.

looks awesome! great job!
I would cook meat loaf until it was fully cooked, and then drain any oils off that might of surfaced.
After draining the meat loaf i use this topping and put it on full length of meat loaf and bake until you see it sort of browning and bubbly. In the topping is a cup or more or catsup, equal amount of brown sugar . Mix these two items well and then pour over the meat loaf from side to side and end to end. Cook until you see it bubbling and beginning to get a little brown. You will never cook a meat loaf without this topping again. Or at least my family likes it that well.
I didn’t see what temp to put the oven at
Trying it tonight:-) 🙂 🙂
Did you like it? This is one of my kids favorites!
What’s the temperature for the oven?
She doesn’t include it, which is weird. But I searched Stove Top 4-ingredient meatloaf and a different recipe says at 350 degrees. I am going to try that and keep an eye on it. I plan to do the knife check to see if it comes clean and ad snore time as needed. Hope this helps.
I love meatloaf and Stove Top! I cannot wait to try this.
What a great way to use Stove Top…I’m a huge fan!
Looks SO easy and delicious!
Wow, this is so easy to assemble and meatloaf if one of the Mr.’s favorite meals. We are all going to love this one!
This says no carbs. Stove top has carbs
My husband likes his hamburgers made like this. So easy.
What size pan can be used if I don’t have a loaf pan?
Im gonna try this but with ground chicken, and I think milk would be better then water
Let me know how it turns out! I am wondering how the milk is going to work with the Stove Top.
How many WW points?
My serving worked out to be 5 WW Smartpoints
Works well with hamburger also. I also add chopped onion.
I never would have thought to try with beef! I bet it’s tasty!
I use 99% hamburger found at Walmart in e. Windsor. I love it.
Jenny, thanks! And thanks for sharing your great posts every week!
I use chicken both instead of water
I have used this recipe for years I also have used it and made meatballs, baked in oven of course. It’s been my go to recipe for meat loaf. Used hamburger also in place of ground Turkey
I put cranberry sauce on top of mine been making this for years.
I made it but also added a grated zuccini. I also let the stovetop soak in 1 cup of milk instead of water and the egg for about 20 minutes to get it nice and soft. then I mixed it into the turkey with 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 to 1 tsp epiciure sage and apple seasoning, 1 TBSP parsley flakes. Mixed it all together and then made a glaze with a mixture of ketchup and balsamic vinegar for the top
She gives you everything but the oven setting. That is strange, I’m going to try 350, that I read off of another recipe.
I’m sorry but I just didn’t like it at all. I even added seasoning but didn’t help. But on the plus side my husband liked it. Said it would make a great turkey sandwich. If I decide to make this again I will make it way differently. I won’t use Stove Top Dressing next time. I will get the Poultry Farms brand and see if that makes a deferent. And I will use Cream of chicken for the topping as gravy. I will give it 1 more try before I toss it.
Absolutely amazing! I added a cranberry glaze on top and WOW!! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.
I love it with cranberry sauce. Thanks for telling us that
