Weight Watchers Muffins are one of those treats my whole family has come to love over the years! I love that on WW, the kids can eat what I eat, too. Being able to make a variety of muffin flavors and to make them fast is a must in my house!

4 Muffins, Sprinkle Kodiak Muffin, Pumpkin Spice muffin, lemon muffin, and kodiak chocolate muffin

For years, we have made muffins using cake mix, water, and Greek yogurt; however, recently, a girlfriend clued me in to using Kodiak Cakes mixes as the base for making muffins. If you are like my youngest, Isabella, these muffins seem more like baking than the cake mix muffins. But either way, they can be made into low-smart point tasty muffins.

A Note From Jenny

When starting any healthy lifestyle, consult a doctor to address any personal health concerns. Some things can only be addressed medically and by a professional. Blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before starting and at least once a year, as these all can affect an active lifestyle.

With so many different programs, such as Weight Watchers, Keto, and macros, it can be hard to know what to pick. (If you’re interested in Weight Watchers, you can sign up -> here and sign up for $10/month for 10 months.)

I personally use the app Myfitnesspal to track my food.  I use macros and focus on High Protein (calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates) and rotate through cuts and maintenance calories. (Use a calculator like this -> here)  . I did WW for years, but now that I am more maintenance, with cuts throughout the year, and focusing on mobility with strength training. There is no right or wrong answer, as all bodies are different.

Ways to Lower Points in Muffins

For the cake mix muffins, swap out with a sugar-free mix, while you can use a regular cake mix. Using a sugar-free mix will lower the overall WW point value per muffin.

Mix nonfat Greek yogurt with the cake mix and water to make the muffins; while this will not lower the points, it will also add more protein.

These muffins have only three ingredients: cake mix, yogurt, and a cup of water. The batter mixture is very light and airy, making for muffins that are very light but full of flavor.

Bake in the oven in a muffin tin with or without muffin cups. I prefer the mini muffin for a small treat. No eggs or vegetable oils are needed. Just like regular muffins, test with a toothpick.
