My air fryer is changing how I cook year-round, and these Weight Watchers air fryer Brussel sprouts are one of the latest recipes I used my air fryer on. Now, oven-roasted vegetables are my favorite, but I have not wanted to turn on the oven in the summer. With no heating, this is also fast for weeknight dinners during the school year.

Weight Watchers air fryer brussel sprouts, now I will be the first to admit that I was not a huge vegetable eating girl before. My Weight Watchers leader meeting used to use me as an example of how the program works if you work it. I rarely eat fruit, and at the time, only potatoes and corn as vegetables in my diet. It’s incredible how much a lifestyle change expanding your palate can be.

WHAT IS Weight Watchers?

When starting a new weight loss program or diet change, consult a doctor or physician about personal health concerns. It is a good idea to have blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before and during being on the WW program.

New to Weight Watchers?? Also known as WW, a weight loss program uses points assigned to food to track and lose weight. When you sign up, you take an assessment that will assign you a point value to eat daily and a weekly allowance. You can carry over 4 points from the day into your weekly budget, which is handy when you need more points.

I have been on Weight Watchers since 2011. They have had Points Plus Value, WW Smartpoints, Blue Plan, Green Plan, Purple Plan, WW Personal Points, and now Weight Watchers Points. The new Weight Watchers Simplified plan is the new program launched in November 2022 similar to previous plans like WW Smartpoints, with some color plans. ( You can see the Weight Watchers Zero Point Foods 2023 -> here)

No matter the WW plan, they work to help you learn healthy eating habits. I have hit lifetime goal weight several times but stopped operating the plan and tracking, so the weight does creep back on. You stay on as a lifetime member, working towards your goal. Head on over ->here to get a month for free.

Brussel Sprouts– I used fresh Brussel sprouts and then trimmed them down. You can buy them pre-halved to make the prep for this even more accessible.

Garlic Olive Oil-You could substitute for plain olive oil or a different flavor of Olive Oil or plain olive oil. Some oils change the Weight Watchers points value, so scan using your Weight Watchers app to verify the point value.

Garlic Salt– I am a garlic fanatic; you can also use Fresh Ground sea salt or regular salt in place.

How to Prepare Brussel Sprouts

Now you can buy Brussel sprouts on the better russel on the stalk; this can be a little bit more work. There are benefits to buying your brussel sprouts on the stem. They will retain their volume and plumpness.

You can even make roasted brussel sprouts on the stalk, but I prefer a bit less prep work or for serving.

If you need to cut the Brussel Sprout off the stalk, do so.

If using off the stalk, Brussel Sprouts trim the ends off and peel off the outside leaves if needed.

Rinse off the Brussel Sprouts and then slice them in half length-wise.

In a large mixing bowl, fill it with cold water and add in a bit of garlic salt.

Trim and prepare your Brussel Sprouts, and slice lengthwise if needed.

Soak brussel sprouts in salt water, for at least ten to 15 minutes.

Spray your air fryer racks or air fryer basket with a nonstick spray. I made this in my Power XL Air Fryer with the racks, but I have also made a small batch in my Power XL Basket Air Fryer.

Pour the water from the bowl or use a slotted spoon to remove the brussel sprouts from the cold water.

Spread your brussel sprouts out onto the racks or in the basket. You will want these to have some spacing so the air can move evenly around the brussel sprouts.

Move the racks or basket into the air fryer.

Set your air fryer to 375 degrees for 10 minutes and allow them to cook.

Add a couple more minutes if needed to achieve the level of doneness you want.

Serve and enjoy!

How To Store WW Brussel Sprouts

Once the Brussel Sprouts have cooled off, move them to an air-tight container or bag to store in the fridge for up to three days.

How To Reheat Brussel Sprouts

You can reheat these in a microwave, the air fryer, or the oven, or they are not too bad cold to snack on.

The only thing with points is the Olive Oil used; if you use less or more, that will affect the points of the recipe. Make sure you always recalculate the points as you are making the recipe in case your ingredients have a different point value or the plan has changed.
