Substitutions & Alteration Options
Use allergen-free or plant-based ingredients where needed to accommodate your dietary needs or lifestyle. Note: the end result may be a little different from the original recipe. I haven’t made all these dips using substitutions.
- Dairy-free sour cream and cream cheese can be used in place of regular.
- Plant-based or vegan meats and cheeses can be used for vegetarian and vegan options.
- Low-fat and nonfat options for things like mayo, cream cheese, etc. can be used to lower calories or for a healthier option
Tips & Tricks
- I make most crockpot dips in a 2-quart or 4-quart crockpot amount depending on how many people I plan on feeding.
- Most dips will develop their flavor more as they sit for a little bit.
- Never wrap or store hot dips. Allow them to cool completely at room temperature before storing.

- Corn or tortilla chips
- Air fried potatoes

- Rustic style bread like a baguette or sourdough (Seriously Wildgrain’s sourdough is amazing with any dip! Check them out -> here)
