These Easy Crockpot Soup Recipes are perfect to allow to slow cook all day for dinner!! For most moms, crockpots can be a dinner-time saver! Many nights dinner falls after practice or after school clubs! And soup just hits the spots most nights in the fall and winter!
For the PNW we have soup season almost year round. Using a crockpot to make soup makes the whole house smell warm, and everyone can eat whenever they are home. I have 5 crockpots! I use different sizes passed on the meals; the ones below are the ones I have. Use a larger crockpot to make crockpot soups to have leftovers for lunch or dinner!
Important Tips For Making Soups In A Crockpot:
Use nonstick spray or a Crockpot liner to prevent food from burning onto the crock and for easier cleanup.
Bigger chunks of meat will need longer to cook in the crockpot.
Using a crockpot can make great dinners out of cheap cuts of meat.
Adding flour will thicken your sauces on most dinners if they are too thin.
Cooking juices can be turned into gravy from the crockpot.
Having different sizes of crockpots can be handy when doing meal prep.
Having enough liquid to cover the soup is crucial.
Soup Bowls– These aren’t essential to have, but the soup bowls with the handles are always a favorite when we have soup. They make drinking the leftover broth easier.

Storing leftovers properly requires the right tools! My preferred storage method is if the leftovers can be sealed in a food saver. If not, then an air-tight container or Ziploc bag for the fridge is the way I go. The airtight container or a freezer Ziploc bag are the next best bet for freezing the leftovers. I also use a food scale to measure portions into serving sizes.

Reheat in the microwave until the food reaches a safe temperature or heat on the stovetop in a small saucepan.
