Easy Yogurt Dill Dip Recipe

A good Dill dip pairs amazingly with vegetables. I am sure I am not the first to tell you that those dips that make the veggies tastier tend to be loaded with fat and calories when on a weight loss journey. Not always will the original fit in your nutrition goals very well. Don’t worry—I have found a swap that is low in Weight Watchers points, calories, and keto.

Now, you may be asking what makes the calories in a regular dill dip add up. While it may not be particularly bad, most dill dips are made with full-fat sour cream as the creamy part. However, with only two ingredients, you can make a delicious one right at home.

Why You’ll Love This Weight Watchers Dill Dip With Greek Yogurt

  • Easy to make
  • It makes for a healthy dip for your favorite snacks  and vegetables
  • Light Dill Flavor everyone loves
  • Using the Nonfat Greek yogurt makes for a fat-free dill dip

A Note From Jenny

When starting any healthy lifestyle, consult a doctor to address any personal health concerns. Some things can only be addressed medically and by a professional. Blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before starting and at least once a year, as these all can affect an active lifestyle.

With so many different programs, such as Weight Watchers, Keto, and macros, it can be hard to know what to pick. (If you’re interested in Weight Watchers, you can sign up -> here and sign up for $10/month for 10 months.)

I personally use the app Myfitnesspal to track my food.  I use macros and focus on High Protein (calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates) and rotate through cuts and maintenance calories. (Use a calculator like this -> here)  . I did WW for years, but now that I am more maintenance, with cuts throughout the year, and focusing on mobility with strength training. There is no right or wrong answer, as all bodies are different.

WW Dill Dip Ingredients

Nonfat Greek Yogurt– You can use full-fat Greek yogurt or sour cream to make this, but it will add calories and fat to the dip.

Dill Dip Seasoning– I used a dill dip packet, but you can also use regular dill and mix in other seasonings. You can also make it using dried dill or fresh dill as well.

You can salt and pepper to taste as well if the packet isn’t enough.

*Pro-tip: when you make the batch pre-dish this into individual containers for easy snacking later. I buy little food storage containers to put mine in. You can get them at Target, Walmart, or Amazon!

A little planning makes a difference in staying on track with your goals. Also, the disposable containers are perfect for work lunches, traveling, or camping.

What To Dip Into Dill Greek Yogurt Dip

There is almost nothing that you can’t dip into the dill dip. This almost makes for a great mayo substitute for sandwiches and wraps as well.

While the dip is low calorie and carb, remember what you are dipping into it will add to the calories. Using low-carb food to dip into this can keep it keto but also healthy.  Higher-calorie foods will add to the fat and calorie content. But life is about balance.

  • Potato Chips
  • Pizza
  • Fresh Vegetables- Baby Carrots, Cucumber, Celery, Broccoli, Celery Sticks, Snap Peas, Cherry Tomatoes, radishes, Jicama, and cauliflower
  • Chicken Wings
  • French fries
  • Pita Chips
  • Crackers

Alterations For Low-Fat Dill Dip

Cottage Cheese—You will want to use a blender or inversion blender to make the right consistency, but it is a good high-protein substitution. Be sure to use either low-calorie or full-fat based on your needs.

Sour Cream– This will change the nutrition information, so if you are tracking your macros, calories, or Weight Watchers points, be sure to recalculate

How To Store Homemade Dill Dip

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days after making your dill dip.

When you go to serve, be sure to stir the dip again.
