Easy Cheesy Monkey Bread

This cheesy monkey bread is the easy side dish you didn’t know you needed. I love to use Pillsbury breads to make more than just bread, and this was fun to have the kids make with me. I mean, bread, butter, and cheese—how can you go wrong?

I first made this in 2012 and then updated the photos in 2017.
The first time I made this was the first time I used my bundt pan, and now I love to make cakes and bread in it! Pillsbury biscuits are one thing I always pick up on markdown and know my kids will always eat! Not having to make a mess making a pizza dough or using flour and yeast to make the bread.
I pair up this montkey bread in place of cheesy garlic bread often with a pasta night or pizza night. Thanks to A Thrifty Mom for the great idea, hard to believe we have been making since 2012!

Easy Cheesy Monkey Bread Directions:
Grease the bundt pan with 2 tablespoons of butter. This can be awkward, so you can also rub a stick of butter around instead of measuring it. Cooking spray will not work very well for this step.

Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
Start melting the remaining butter in a small bowl. There isn’t much butter, so a large bowl isn’t needed.
Open your can of biscuits.
Peel off one biscuit, smash it down

Put on pizza sauce and cheese, and add in other toppings, if you want, onto the smashed biscuit.
Pinch off the biscuit and place it smooth side down in the groove of the bundt pan.

Repeat until all biscuit pieces are done and spaced out in the pan.
Next, use a pastry brush to cover the biscuits with the melted butter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes till the top is a rich golden brown color.

Then flip onto a serving plate to serve!!

Hi Jenny. It has been a while. I hope this message finds you & your family well. I had to take off a few weeks from emails for Christmas. I just couldn’t do it all , with cooking, baking & Parties & shopping & wrapping & sending gifts in the mail too. It is good to be back. I hope you & your family had a Wonderful Christmas! Mine was quiet & peaceful. I had a friend over & we had a nice dinner & watched Christmas Movies , as both of our families are far away & neither side could travel . We got some snow-just a dusting-but everything froze up again (lots of black ice), & it has been in the 20s & teens here in RI. I am looking forward to trying this Easy Cheesy Monkey Bread-looks yummy. Happy New Year!
Hello Karen! It was a very busy couple of months!! Sounds like you had an amazing Christmas my family did as well. Hopefully your weather warms up soon (as does mine) and Happy New Year!!
I’m going to have to try this! My son would love it. I’ve only ever made sweet monkey bread.
