Having an idea of what the Best Weight Watchers-friendly fast Food Restaurants are is important to be able to work the plan and to live a healthy lifestyle.ย  Personally, I am always on the go, and there are times I forget to pack something to eat.ย  Knowing options as a backup to, because let’s face it, plans will change and emergencies will pop up, is better than going in with no idea or no clue.ย

A variety of food from fast food resturants

When youโ€™re juggling work, kidsโ€™ activities, errands, and everything else life throws your way, fast food sometimes feels like the only realistic option. Trust me, nothing is perfect on this healthy lifestyle journey, especially if you have kids or a job.  And you know what? And honestly? Thatโ€™s okay. You can stay on track with Weight Watchers, macros, or healthier habits in general, even with eating fast food occasionally. These options are my go-to fast-food restaurants that make it easy to grab something quick, filling, and still lower in points and calories.

What Makes a Fast-Food Spot โ€œWW Friendlyโ€?

  • Easy to customize your order
  • Offers grilled or lower-fat proteinย
  • Has lighter side options on its menu
  • Provides clear nutrition information
  • Makes it possible to enjoy a meal without using your daily points
    ย

Chick-fil-A Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

Chick-fil-A is one of the best options for fast food.  With WW having chicken breast as zero points and potatoes before frying zero it is a great way to have food on the go.  High protein, low calorie, and delicious, total win-win for WW Points or macros.

  • Grilled Chicken Sandwich- if you need lower points, skip the bun
  • Grilled Nuggets
  • Market Salad- order the Light Italian dressing
  • Side Salad- light dressing or use less
  • Fruit Cup
  • Unsweetened Iced Tea or Diet Coke

Now, while those are good options, be sure to keep an eye on the sauces, and know that fried chicken will be higher in points and calories.  Do ask for any sauces on the side to help control the amount you eat.

Subway Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

  • 6โ€ Turkey Breast on wheat
  • Veggie Delight on wheat
  • Grilled Chicken Bowl
  • Any sandwich loaded with veggies + mustard or as a salad, no bread.ย

If you want sauce on your sandwich, order the light version or easy sauce.  If you are not a cheese fan, it’s an easy way to reduce the calories or points of the sub.  Ordering mustard or vinegar for flavor is a great way to add flavor without extra points.

Chipotle Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

  • Burrito Bowl with chicken
  • Fajita veggies + beans
  • Salsa, lettuce, corn salsa, pico

Skipping the tortilla will save points and calories.  As well as that, going easy on the cheese will also help reduce points and lower the fat content.   Guacamole and queso will be higher in points and calories than some of the other options, but in moderation, they are not awful options.  The kids’ meal is also a good option to order.

Panera Bread Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

  • Fuji Apple Chicken Salad (ask for light dressing)
  • Green Goddess Cobb with no bacon & dressing on the side
  • Turkey Chili (seasonal but worth it!)

The bread bowls are high in points and calories, but if you plan, they can be worked into your plan. Most of the bakery treats are also high points.  Panera is good about putting calories on the menus to help you pick a healthier option.   The pick two option is a good way to have soup and salad is a good option for either Weight Watchers or macro lifestyle.

Taco Bellย  Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

  • Fresco Soft Taco
  • Grilled Chicken Burrito (ask for no sauce)
  • Power Menu Bowl without cheese or sour cream
  • Black beans

Fresco-style means that sauces are replaced with pico, reducing calories and points.  The cheese, sour cream, and refried beans can add points and calories fast.  Unfortunately, the Crunchwraps and quesadillas are high in points, but if you plan, you can work them into your plan or for a splurge.

Wendyโ€™s Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

  • Grilled Chicken Sandwich-can skip the buns
  • Apple Pecan Salad (light dressing)
  • Small Chili
  • Plain baked potato

Unfortunately, anything Baconator is high points and high calories, as well as their Frostys. ย  The best combo is a plain baked potato with a small chili.ย  But really, remember to use your apps to look up values and plan if possible.ย ย

Starbucks’ Best WW-Friendly And Low-Calorie Orders

  • Egg White Bites
  • Turkey Bacon Sandwichย
  • Protein Box-one with fruit will be a better optionย
  • Unsweetened iced coffee with sugar-free syrup

Swap out for sugar-free, light milk, or almond milk on the drinks, and no whip to lower the calories and points.  The pastries will be a higher point and calorie option.

General Tips And Swaps At Any Restaurantย

  • Go for grilled protein instead of fried
  • Cut out mayo and sauces or swap for mustard, salsa, or pico
  • Drink water, diet drinks, or unsweetened tea
  • Add all the fresh veggies and fruitย
  • Skip buns and tortillasย
  • Sauces on the side

The most important tip is to use your apps; using the Weight Watchers app or MyFitnessPal will help you to be able to make the best choice possible and know what you are eating.ย  ย There is no need to eat out to completely derail your progress.
