This easy Homemade Breath Dog Treat Recipe is the perfect breath saver treat to make if you have a dog. We usually buy Bentley dog breath treats, but after Kylie read the ingredients, she opted to make them instead.

I have to give it to Kylie; she has taken the role of taking care of Bentley seriously and handled it well. I Love that she has been concerned with his food quality, just like the food in her diet. Plus by making the dog treats she is also learning how to do some cooking and baking.
Homemade Breath Dog Treat Recipe Ingredients:
- Old-Fashioned Oats
- Fresh Mint– You will want this to be fresh mint. In a pinch, dried mint will work, but fresh mint will be more active in helping the dog’s breath.
- Parsley
- Water
- Coconut Oil
- Egg

How To Make Homemade Breath Dog Treat:
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.

In a food processor, ground up 2 1/2 cups of oatmeal into an almost flour-like consistency. (Leave aside the extra 1/4 cup for a minute). I use mine for so many different things, and it is so much easier than a cheese grater; your knuckles will thank you!

Chopping up the herbs, I stripped my mint off the stem and then chopped just the leaves of the mint.
Whisk the egg, water, and oil together in a bowl.
Mix into the water mixture your parsley and mint.
Slowly mix in the 2/12 cup of oats. This can be hard to do, so I did this part with my hands to ensure it was spread out properly.

Use your food processor to grind up about a 1/4 cup of oatmeal; you will use the powder for rolling out your breath biscuits.
Next, spread some extra 1/4 cup of oatmeal flour onto your counter. We used dog cookie cutters to cut out our treats.
