How To Make Pasta And Sausage
Boil water in a pot and cook pasta to al dente according to the box’s directions.
Turn another burner to medium heat and warm up the minced garlic and oil.
Slice the chicken sausage and sauté in the pan for 5 to 7 minutes.

I made this using the Ceramic-Coated pans from Caraway pans. Healthy living isn’t just about what we put in our mouths directly, but also about the chemicals our pans release during cooking. I used this recipe as my first attempt to break in my new pans, and I was surprised at how easy the cleanup was. If you have ever made pasta with cheese, you know how hard clean-up can be sometimes. They have excellent sales all the time, be sure to check them out -> here!

While those two pans are cooking, mix the cottage cheese, Italian seasoning, and pasta sauce in a blender to puree. Now, trust me, even if you aren’t a fan of cottage cheese, you won’t be able to tell you blended it in for extra protein. You can mix in some pasta water if it seems to be to thick.

I used my Ninja blender to do this. I used the Auto-IQ twice, the first time to ensure it was well blended. After the first time, I used a spatula to scrape the walls and stir from the bottom, then blended it again(no cottage cheese chunks got by me).
Strain your pasta in an over-the-sink strainer.

Once everything is cooked, combine the sauce, sausage, and pasta in one pan.
Serve and top with mozzarella cheese!

How To Store Leftover Sausage Pasta
Store any pasta in an airtight container. I store mine in meal prep containers for easy eating and serving. Store in the fridge for up to five days after cooking.
Storing leftovers properly requires the right tools! My preferred storage method is if the leftovers can be sealed in a food saver. If not, then an air-tight container or Ziploc bag for the fridge is the way I go. The airtight container or a freezer Ziploc bag are the next best bet for freezing the leftovers. I also use a food scale to measure portions into serving sizes.
