This Crock Pot Ham and Bean Soup Recipe is the perfect way to use up leftover ham from holiday dinners! I love to stock up on ham when it goes on sale around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Ham is one of those proteins that all three of my kids love and will eat without an issue.

Now I am obsessed with my 8 Quart Slow Cooker I have had it since 2011 and it is still trucking! I use this all the time to make Crockpot Ham (see my recipe -> here) and it fits all the ingredients for this soup perfectly!!
Plus, you can order an 8 quart on Amazon, so you don’t even have to leave the house, order, and bam UPS man is saving dinner time for you when you use Amazon Prime 2-day delivery! (Don’t have Prime?? You NEED easy online shopping!!)

How To Make crockpot ham and bean Soup
Now, I did this after our Christmas dinner, and the kids loved this soup! I loved how easy it was just to drop it in the crockpot and let it cook!
Spray your crockpot with a nonstick spray.
Set in your ham bone and start to pour in your broth. I boil my water and then mix in the Better Than Bouillon paste so it can begin to dissolve. I used the Garlic for this recipe, but any of the Better Than Bouillon will work.

In a strainer, drop in your White Chili Beans and Corn Kernels. Rinse them off and allow them to drip dry.
Chop up your onion, carrots, and potatoes. Now, this is a recipe I eyeball as I am going for the amounts; normally I don’t clean up till everything is combined in case I need to add in more.

Drop everything in your crockpot.
Add in more broth if needed, and add in your seasonings to your taste preference.

Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

Serve and Enjoy!!

What is your go-to for leftover ham?
How To Store Slow Cooker Ham And Bean Soup
Store in the fridge for up to three days in an air-tight container. You can freeze the leftovers for up to three months in the freezer.
Storing leftovers properly requires the right tools! My preferred storage method is if the leftovers can be sealed in a food saver. If not, then an air-tight container or Ziploc bag for the fridge is the way I go. The airtight container or a freezer Ziploc bag are the next best bet for freezing the leftovers. I also use a food scale to measure portions into serving sizes.
