This Crock Pot Cinnamon Rolls recipe is sure to quickly become a family favorite!! As the mom of the house, I love how easy they are to make.   Easy breakfast and brunch is always a win.

A couple of years ago our oven died and I had some refrigerated biscuits I didn’t want to waste. I, of course, went looking and found Cinnamon Rolls in the crockpot!!!  We have also since made Cinnamon Roll Casserole, so it’s a toss-up for us which one is our favorite.

Balls Of Biscuits with melted butter in a bowl and brown sugar cinnamon

Crock Pot Cinnamon Rolls Ingredients:

  • Biscuits
  • Butter-This will be melted in a bowl to have the biscuit balls into for the brown sugar and cinnamon to attach to.
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon

Crockpot Cinnamon Roll Glaze Ingredients:

  • Powder Sugar
  • Milk
  • Vanilla
Isabella Rolling Dough

Now back in the day, I had a little assistant to help me make these.  She still helps in the kitchen but how adorable was she??

How To Make Crock Pot Cinnamon Rolls With Biscuits:

Spray your crockpot with a non-stick cooking spray, I give this a spray because of the sugar cooking in the crockpot.  You can also use a slow cooker liner to make clean-up easier.

Roll your biscuits into balls for baking.

Melt your butter in a bowl in your microwave.

Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.

Rolled Biscuit in melted butter

Roll your biscuit in the melted butter.

Next using a fork to lift your buttered biscuit out of the bowl and into the bowl of brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.

Roll the biscuit in the brown sugar cinnamon until well coated.

Lift the covered biscuit with a fork and place it into the bottom of your crockpot. I used a 4 quart round crockpot to make these in.

Once all the covered biscuits are in the crockpot you could top them with pecans if desired. (My family isn’t a fan of pecans)

Cover the crockpot with a paper towel and then place the lid on top, this will help prevent condensation from dripping on the rolls while cooking.

Cook on low 2-3 hrs, I set a timer for 1 1/2 hours to start checking them, they finish fast and you can end up with burnt sugar on them if you don’t watch them.

Cooked Cinnamon Roll In Crockpot

Using oven gloves place a plate on top of your crock and flip the crock over so the cinnamon rolls flip out onto the plate. I love my oven gloves they make it easier to work with hot dishes, Amazon has a great selection of oven gloves.

Place another plate over the cinnamon rolls and flip again so the soft part is on top to be iced

Mix glaze ingredients (powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla)  in a small bowl (add more/less milk as needed) and pour over warm rolls.

The taste is amazing and seriously they are so easy to make the kids do a lot of the work for it.

Amazing, this looks really good. I’m not sure I could make this in the UK. I don’t know what the equivalent is to biscuits. Something that is found in the fridge section? That puzzles me!

Why not use a crock pot liner so you don’t have to flip a crock pot. Nuts and dangerous flipping a crock pot! Otherwise great!

I just stumbled upon this great looking recipe, I was wondering if you can or had anyone attempted to use frozen rolls that are thawed like Rhoades dinner rolls instead of biscuits?

I have not but I am sure they would work. Since those rolls rise so much I wouldn’t pack them in very close. If you try it would love to hear how it goes.
