Now, we were at the gym on March 13 when Dutch Bros announced the birthday cake coffee Dutch Bros. This drink is similar to both Dutch Bros and Dunkin’ Donuts birthday cake coffee but has less sugar and the added perk of protein. Trust me, this will fill you up and cure your sweet tooth!

When made according to the recipe, this drink has 60 grams of protein but could also be halved to 30 grams! I tend to do one this size on large calorie burning days or sip all morning.

High Protein Birthday Cake Coffee Ingredients

*Note: if you don’t want such a significant protein amount, you can half each protein shake to make one for 30 grams of protein instead of 60 grams, but this is my go-to on leg day when I burn more calories*

What Is A Proffee?

A proffee is coffee with a protein shake in place of creamer! You can use already flavored protein shakes like Salted Caramel, Chocolate, Peanut butter Chocolate, or Mocha. Adding sugar-free syrups is a great way to change the flavors of the coffee. Skinny Girl Drink syrups are one of my favorites to add to my proffees.

Now I love to use the Pure Protein Ready to Drink shakes as they are only 1 Weight Watchers point, and Premier Protein Ready to Drink shakes are 3 WW Points. But in addition to low Weight Watchers points, these drinks are also keto!

How To Make Birthday Cake Proffee

Grab your cup for your proffee. I used a 40-ounce glass tumbler, but any cup would work. You will need a large tumbler with two protein shakes if you make this.

Next, measure your cold brew and flavoring for the protein coffee. A milk frother can be used here to blend the two.

Note: I did not have any extra pumps for this bottle, so I measured out an ounce on a food scale; a pump is about 1/4 ounce. If you want, you can sweeten it with more flavoring.

Pour in the Vanilla and Birthday Cake protein shakes into the tumbler, and add the flavored cold brew.

Use a milk frother to blend in the tumbler. You can do this for any length of time, and the drink will bubble as it mixes.

Optional: add ice. You can put this in the blender before topping it to make a blended cold brew or smoothie. I don’t add a bunch because my cold brew is cold.

Garnish with whipped topping and rainbow sprinkles! You can use as much or as little of this as you want.

Enjoy! You can mix the drink with the whipped topping, but I like to put my straw in and drink some before mixing more.

Weight Watchers Points For Birthday Cake Cold Brew

Now, be sure to use your calculator to verify point values. When I posted this in March 2025, the Equate protein shake was 3 points, and the Birthday Cake was 3 points. That makes the total drink 6 points and 60 grams of protein!

Macros For High Protein Birthday Cake Coffee

The macros are 377 calories, 15 carbs, 8 grams of fat, and 62 grams of protein. Now, how much whipped topping you use will also affect these amounts. Personally, I guestimated at 1/4 cup. You can use a food scale for an accurate measurement.
