Grilled Corn On The Cob In Foil!! Now, this is my version of a pioneer woman grilled corn on the cob in foil, and I love it. Now personally, nothing beats the freshest corn from the Farmer’s Market. Over the years, grilling corn has become a summer staple.

Sweet corn on the cob is one of the few vegetables I can get all the kids to eat. Finding the best way and new way to cook it differently helps to keep this mom from getting bored with the same vegetable multiple times a week.  This is one of those few veggies I can get everyone in the house to eat, and we always make extra as well since the kids love it so much.

Once you try this out, you won’t go back to eating corn not grilled, plus you can change up the flavor of the corn on the cob. Now it is not as complicated as you would think to learn how to grill fresh corn on the cob in foil.

Grilled Corn On The Cob In Foil Ingredients:

  • Garlic Salt
  • Butter
  • Corn on the cob

How To Grill Corn On The Cob In Foil

Fire up your grill, we did ours on a gas grill, but I am sure it would be just as amazing on a charcoal grill, any way will result in the best-grilled corn.

Have the grill at medium-low or medium heat for cooking the corn.

The first step is to remove the outer husks from each ear of corn.

Rub down the corn with the unsalted butter, this helps it not to stick to the tin foil and adds flavor.

Lay the ears of corn on the aluminum foil or hold them over the sink to season corn on the cob with garlic salt, sea salt, or garlic powder.

Roll up the ends of the foil over the corn on the cob, this will result in moist corn.

Place corn on the hot grill grates, I had mine on the upper rack of our grill. Letting the corn cook away from the open flame.

Grill for about 20-30 minutes, I left mine on while our meat was cooking the whole time.

Be sure to flip/roll the corn every so often, one of the easiest method and of most simple methods to cook corn.

Use caution removing the corn on the cob from the foil.

Serve! You can add some more butter if you want as well

I love grilled corn! It gets so caramelized, which I love. My favorite way to season is with a chili-lime butter…just mix butter, chili powder and lime juice! It’s so yummy.

Yum! Grilled corn is so good! My dad used to make it that way but he’d soak it then cook it in the husk. Amazing!

Hi Jenny. With Memorial Day approaching I just went & bought some corn too-on sale! I boil mine 1st then freeze it after it cools off a bit; then I thaw it out the day before I am going to go on a BBQ or cookout.( It’s not allowed at my Apt. Bldg.) Then I put butter & top with spices/herbs & rewrap & put into the fridge until I’m ready to pack the cooler. Thanks for sharing yours & have a Wonderful Mother’s Day! & Memorial Day Weekend!

Another option I’ve done is before I seal up the 2nd end of the foil, drop 1 ice cube in the end then seal the foil. It will steam the corn and mostly evaporate and carnalize the corn. Oh so good.

I’ve been cooking my corn on the cob like this for a couple of years. Now its the only way. Only difference is I mix my garlic salt and pepper in the butter and I am always generous to add the butter mix to the corn.
    Enjoy people!!
