Weight Watchers English Muffin Pizza!!

Weight Watchers English Muffin Pizza is a long-time family favorite!!  Personally, I love how easy they are to make and the fact that I can easily customize them to what each kid likes. (It would be to easy if the kids all liked the same thing.) Additionally, I can adjust them to fit my daily points/macros on Weight Watchers.

This was first posted in 2013, republished in 2019, and updated in 2023 with the new plan information.

Now we eat English Muffin Pizzas year-round, but they are one of my favorites for tailgating! I can have pizza and not use a lot of my daily Weight Watchers points on pizza! Plus, when the kids are home on break or for the summer, it makes for a frugal meal for them to eat at home. I often pick up English muffins at the bread store and freeze them for eating later on.

A Note From Jenny

When starting any healthy lifestyle, consult a doctor to address any personal health concerns. Some things can only be addressed medically and by a professional. Blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before starting and at least once a year, as these all can affect an active lifestyle.

With so many different programs, such as Weight Watchers, Keto, and macros, it can be hard to know what to pick. (If you’re interested in Weight Watchers, you can sign up -> here and sign up for $10/month for 10 months.)

I personally use the app Myfitnesspal to track my food.  I use macros and focus on High Protein (calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates) and rotate through cuts and maintenance calories. (Use a calculator like this -> here)  . I did WW for years, but now that I am more maintenance, with cuts throughout the year, and focusing on mobility with strength training. There is no right or wrong answer, as all bodies are different.

Weight Watchers English Muffin Pizzas Ingredients:

  • Mozzarella Cheese– To lower the point value, you can use fat-free cheese or low-fat cheese but I prefer whole-fat dairy.
  • English Muffins– These will be split in half, there are lower point options for english muffins, and each brand can have a different point value.
  • Pizza Sauce– I used Ragu brand pizza sauce, but any pizza sauce will work for this recipe.

How To Make Weight Watchers English Muffin Pizza:

Start out and preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Take out your English Muffins and cut them in half.

Spread your English Muffin halves out onto a cookie/baking sheet.  Put down parchment paper to prevent the cheese and toppings from cooking on the cookie sheet.

Spread each half of the English muffins with pizza sauce.

*Now for the two halves that were mine, I measured out 1/4 cup of sauce since 1/8 cup and 1/4 cup of the sauce was 1 point to make sure I didn’t go too much, and I ended up with 1/8 cup of cheese on my pizzas.*

Top with cheese and other toppings, I tend to put my other toppings underneath the cheese.

**For the Weight Watchers pizzas for me I cut some Canadian bacon in quarters to make my pizza.  I actually snacked on 2 pieces and used only one piece on my pizza.  If you have points you can add on more cheese as well.  You can use a fat-free cheese or reduce the cheese amount to lower your Smartpoints value for the pizza.**’

English muffin pizzas before baking

Bake for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees in your oven.

You can tell how cheesy these pizzas are, plus it’s a great way to get the kids in the kitchen with you, cooking and get them started on cooking. My kids have been helping make this since they were two; they love to top their pizzas and make them better than their siblings!

Weight Watchers Points Breakdown For English Muffin Pizzas

Now, with any Weight Watchers recipe, plug your ingredients into the recipe builder.  Every brand can vary on its points; sometimes, brands track differently than others.  Mine worked out to 7 points for both halves.

You can use other ingredients to lower the points; fat-free cheese, whole grain English muffins, for example.

  1. According to Noom, there are about 76 carbs in this meal, which includes two English muffin halves with pizza sauce and cheese. I believe you can find low carb alternatives for all three parts to bring it down to an acceptable level. My wife is also diabetic, and eats this with whole grain muffins, but only eats one half.
    I hope this helps!

  2. 5 stars
I love this recipe and and at least I know how many carbs are involved with English Muffin pizzas, thank you.
