How to Make Cast Iron Grilled Zucchini Recipe

Slice your zucchini into half-inch-thick pieces.

Wash off your Zucchini and allow it to drip; you can also dry it with a paper towel. 

Fire up your grill to a medium heat.

*If you need to rub down your pan with fresh olive oil before starting to cook*

Drop in your butter into your skillet and allow it to melt.

Once your butter has melted, add your zucchini and season with salt to taste and garlic salt. I love the Trader Joe’s grinder; the flavor is fantastic. You can use another garlic salt if you prefer.

Allow the Zucchini to cook until it is softened and remove from the heat.

I do stir and flip mine to make sure the zucchini is cooked thoroughly through. 

I place mine on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess butter off the Zucchini. 

Serve and enjoy!

How To Make Grilled Zucchini On The Stove

One thing I love about cast iron is that it can impart grilling flavor without actually being on the grill. Additionally, you can use cast iron on a glass top stove, just be cautious about sliding it around on the top or setting it down too hard.

  • Slice your zucchini into half-inch-thick pieces. 
  • Rub your pan down with olive oil if needed.
  • Turn your burner to medium heat and place your butter in the pan.
  • Next drop your butter into your skillet and allow it to melt.
  • Once your butter has melted, add your zucchini and season with salt to taste, along with garlic salt. 
  • Allow the Zucchini to cook until it is softened and remove from the heat.  
  • I do stir and flip mine to make sure the zucchini is cooked thoroughly through. 
  • I place mine on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess butter from the Zucchini. 
  • Serve and enjoy!

Instructions
 

  • Slice up your zucchini, about a half inch thick will work.

  • Allow the Zucchini to cook until the Zucchini is softened and remove from heat.
  • I do stir and flip mine to make sure the zucchini is cooked thoroughly thru.
  • I place mine on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess butter off of the Zucchini.

Notes

Now you could use olive oil to make this instead as a healthier option or a different oil as well.
