Since better weather has started, we have been doing family get-together BBQs at least once a weekend. We all love to have quick and easy food to grill so we can enjoy playtime and conversation.  With camping season upon us, at the last get-together, we brought foil packet potatoes to test out. They’re super easy to throw on the grill, and they turned out amazing

Foil Packet Potatoes Ingredients:

  • Olive Oil
  • Potatoes
  • Orange Bell Pepper
  • Bacon
  • Onions– These will be diced; you can leave them large for picky eaters to be able to pick out.
  • Montreal Steak Seasoning
  • Garlic Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Himalayan Pink Salt
  • Shredded Cheese

How To Make Foil Packet Potatoes:

Take the time to properly wash, peel, and chop your potatoes and veggies.

Chop up your bacon into small pieces or cut it up with scissors.

Cook your bacon a bit it will cook the rest of the way on the grill in the foil packet.

Cut tin foil wide enough for the potatoes and filling ingredients to fit in.

Sprinkle the tin foil with olive oil or spray with a nonstick spray.

Spread the potatoes onto the oiled tin foil.

Foil Packet Potatoes Prep

Layer the onions, bacon, peppers, and season to taste.

Seal up the foil tightly this will allow it to cook on the grill.

Throw on the top rack of the grill and allow to cook for about 30 minutes.

Take the potatoes off the grill and top with shredded cheese, green onion, sour cream, and/or other toppings of your choice.

In the oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes

On the smoker at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or more depending on how your smoke is maintaining temps

In the campfire, this one will have to be watched due to how campfire heat isn’t as regulated but will be tasty

other Seasonings And Ingredients For Foil Packet Potatoes:

  • Polish Sausage
  • Kielbasa
  • Green Bell Peppers
  • Red Bell Peppers
  • Avocado Oil
  • Parmesan Cheese

You do not have to peel the potatoes just clean them well. The peel on a lot of vegetables is not only edible but good for you !
