This Egg Roll in a Bowl, also known as Crack Slaw, is high protein, low carb, keto friendly, and on the table in under 30 minutes. This dish has all the delicious flavors of an egg roll without the fried wrapper and, best of all, fewer of the carbs. Ground meat, coleslaw mix, garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce come together in one pan for a meal the whole family will actually get excited about on a busy weeknight.

How To Make Egg Roll In A Bowl Recipe AKA Crack Slaw:

In a stock pot brown the sausage until it is done, you can also mix in the red onion to cook at this time as well. I use a meat chopper, for this part it works great.

Once your sausage has cooked all the way through, add in the coleslaw kits, rice vinegar, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and sesame oil. You can drain the grease from the sausage to make it healthier, or leave it in.

Stir together well and cook covered on high for about 5 minutes; you can cook a bit longer to soften the cabbage.

Stir in your soy sauce and cover.

Allow to simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes, this allows the cabbage to steam.

Chop up a green onion for garnish and serve!!!

How to store eggroll in a bowl

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. This dish will not freeze well because of the cabbage.

Swap out the ground sausage for ground chicken, beef, or turkey. Using a high protein, low fat protein is a good way to improve the macros and points on this dish.
