Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Spray your pan with a nonstick spray. I used a foil pan so I wouldn’t have to deal with dishes the next day. This is a time saver for the holidays. Especially when paired with paper plates, or for sending leftovers home with guests.
Open the can of cinnamon rolls and place the cups of icing on the stove, along with your cream cheese, so they can soften.

Cut your cinnamon roll dough into quarters with a knife. You can also use kitchen scissors or your hands to tear the dough into smaller pieces.
Spread the cut cinnamon rolls into the bottom of your pan.

Open your can of apple pie filling and mix it with the cinnamon rolls in the pan with a spatula. I made sure to spread the apple slices throughout the dough to help distribute the flavor.

Sprinkle the cinnamon rolls with Apple pie seasoning. I love this one from Primal Palate (see it -> here on Food Social), but you can use any Apple Pie Spice.

Bake in your oven, uncovered, for 40-45 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through. Allow to cool 5-10 minutes in the pan before icing.

Cream Cheese Icing Directions
Now you can skip this creation, but let’s face it, those Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls never come with enough icing. However, if you prefer to use just the icing cups, you can do that as well.
In a bowl, combine the icing from the icing cups with milk and cream cheese, then mix using a hand mixer.
Add the powdered sugar to the bowl and mix it with the mixer. Go slow, as the powdered sugar will puff out of the bowl if you start the mixer too fast.
Use a spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl and mix again with the mixer. This will help ensure everything is thoroughly mixed.
Add more powdered sugar if the mixture is too thin or more milk if the icing is too thick.
Pour, spread, or drizzle over your baked cinnamon rolls. This is thicker, like a frosting, vs the thin icing that the cinnamon rolls come with, but trust me, it’s amazing!

Make Ahead Directions
The night before, you can do everything up through combining the cinnamon rolls and apple pie filling. Cover the dish tightly with foil or a lid and then refrigerate overnight. In the morning, remove from the fridge and bake. *If using glass be sure to allow the pan to warm up I used foil pans for this reason.*
For the icing, keep the cinnamon roll icing cups in the fridge overnight. When pulling out the casserole, also pull the icing cups and cream cheese. Place them on top of the counter (or stove while the casserole bakes) to soften, then mix together with the remaining icing ingredients before topping your warm cinnamon roll apple bake.

How To Store Leftover Cinnamon Rolls
