This Firework Bundt Cake Recipe is now a family favorite. Can you believe it is already the time of year to start planning Memorial Day and 4th of July cookouts!! My mom made this two years ago for our 4th of July get-together. The cake was the biggest hit of the party. Everyone loved how amazing it turned out to look, plus the taste!!!

My goal is to one day have the baking skills of my mother. Until then, she has graciously allowed me to share this cake she made that she found on Betty Crocker last summer. She has even made a Christmas Tie Die Cake using red and green made using these directions. I have to say this cake was the perfect dessert that night!
Firework Bundt Cake Recipe Ingredients:
- White Cake Mix– You will want to use a white cake mix. No other mix will take the color the same way to make the colors vibrant in the cooked cake.
- Blue Food Coloring
- Red Food Coloring
- Whipped White Frosting
- Sprinkles
- Ingredients For The Cake Mix– Water, vegetable oil, and eggs.
How To Make 4th of July Bundt Cake:
Preheat your oven to 325 F.
Grease your Bundt cake pan, which will help the cake pop out of the pan easily.
Mix the cake batter according to the directions on the box of cake mix.
Pour 1 cup of mixed cake batter into a small mixing bowl and mix in red food coloring.
Next, pour 1 cup of batter into a small mixing bowl and mix in blue food coloring.
Pour the red cake batter mixtures into the bottom of the greased Bundt pan.
Pour the remaining white cake batter onto the top of the red cake batter.
Last, pour the blue cake mix on top of the layered cake batter in the Bundt pan.
Bake the cake as directed on the pan until done.
When baking the cake, allow it to cool for about 30 minutes and then turn upside down on a cooling rack on a cookie sheet.
Carefully remove the pan from the cake.
Divide the container of frosting into three bowls.
Microwave the first bowl of white frosting for about 5-10 seconds
Using a spoon, drizzle the white frosting around the cake
Microwave the second bowl of frosting for 5-10 seconds, then mix in a couple drops of blue food coloring.
Using a spoon drizzle the blue frosting over the cake and white frosting.
Microwave the third bowl of frosting for 5-10 seconds, then mix in a couple of drops of red food coloring.
Using a spoon drizzle the red frosting over the cake with the blue and white frosting.
Sprinkle with sprinkles if you want!

Allow the frosting to set before putting it on your serving platter or your carrier.
This could also be changed for the holidays with different frosting colors and sprinkles!

Another way to know the cake is fantastic… your mom is taking pictures of her baking to put on her own Facebook!
