How To Make Cheesy Chicken Pasta Bake

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

Spray a 9X13-inch pan with olive oil or a non-stick spray. I use an olive oil sprayer for this part instead of canned nonstick spray.

Add 2 cups of chicken bone broth, shredded chicken salad dressing, uncooked rotini pasta, and parmesan cheese.

Mix everything together in the casserole pan.

Cut the brick of cream cheese into pieces and place on top of the pasta mixture.

Italian Chicken Bake before baking

Cover the pan with foil and place it in the oven.

At about the 15 to 20 minute mark, stir well, and add more chicken bone broth. Protein pasta tends to be a thirsty pasta, but this also helps mix in the cream cheese at this point.

Top the casserole with mozzarella cheese and cover the pan with foil again.

Pro Tips For This Pasta Bake

  • Protein pasta is thirsty. Don’t skip doing a mid bake stir and extra broth; they keep the pasta from drying out and help the cream cheese melt evenly. If you feel it’s too dry, add more broth or check again.
  • Use rotisserie, canned chicken, or crockpot shredded chicken to save time on busy weeknights.
  • Want a golden cheesy top? Remove the foil for the last 5 minutes of baking. But don’t worry, the cheese will be fully melted either way.
  • Leftovers reheat beautifully. You can add a small splash of broth or water to loosen the sauce if it seems dry.
