This mint Oreo bark recipe is a twist on the two-ingredient Oreo bark we made. We love everything mint in our house, so this was the most logical Oreo bark to make. While nothing was wrong with the bark, adding more flavor was not bad, right?

Now, not much gets better than an Oreo, and it’s one of those treats that people of all ages love. While Oreos with a glass of milk is delicious, turning them into other treats makes for amazing desserts! A little side note that surprised me is that Oreos are vegan.
Oreo Cookies

Mint Oreo Bark Ingredients
Regular Oreo Cookies- I also plan to try this with the mint Oreos next time I make this for more mint flavor.
White Chocolate Chips– You could use almond bark I could only find vanilla almond bark and I didn’t feel it would taste right. If you can find white chocolate bark, you can use that.
Green Food Coloring– This is not needed for flavor, but we loved the color.

How To Make Oreo Mint Bark
Count out your Oreos and place them in a Ziploc bag. Do not seal the bag completely. Keep any for garnish separate.
Use a meat pounder or rolling pin to crush the Oreos. The Oreos can be crushed into fine or large pieces. Isabella did or crushed it, but if your younger kids do this step, watch that they don’t puncture the bag.

Spread wax paper on a baking sheet or casserole pan; it must fit in your freezer. The wax paper will make it easy to lift the bark out whole and not stick to the dish.
Parchment paper or freezer paper can also be used in place of the wax paper.
Set a medium saucepan on your stovetop and set the burner to low. You will want this pan to be nonstick so the chocolate doesn’t stick as it melts.
If you don’t want to use just a pan, you can make a double boiler with water in a saucepan and a dish set down into the boiling water.
Allow the pan to warm slightly, and pour the white chocolate chips.

Start stirring slowly with a spatula or a wooden spoon. This will allow the chocolate to melt evenly and not burn.
Stir until almost all the chips have melted.

Add your mint extract and green coloring. You can add as much or as little of either at this step. I decided how much mint to add based on scent.

After the color has mixed add in your crushed Oreos. This will start to harden as you add the Oreos.

Once everything is mixed, use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate and Oreos onto the lined cookie sheet or dish.

Optional: You can top it with whole Oreos or more crushed Oreos. You can top it with whole Oreos or sprinkle with more crushed Oreos.

Store in the freezer for at least two hours until hardened and for the chocolate to set.

Remove and crush with a meat pound or by hand to make chunks of Oreo bark.
*Pro Tip* Put another layer of paper over the bark to stop pieces from flying all over!
Serve and enjoy!
Alterations And Substions For Oreo Bark

- Milk Chocolate Chips
- Sprinkles
- Nuts

Ways To Serve Oreo Bark
- You can make more uniform pieces using a sharp knife.
- Give the bark as a homemade gift or with other desserts in a cute holiday food container. (seriously, food makes the best holiday gifts)
- Serve as part of a dessert charcuterie board.
How To Store Mint Bark
Oreo bark stays fresh the longest if stored in a Ziploc bag or an airtight container in the refrigerator. It can be stored for up to five days in the fridge.
You can store it at room temperature instead of the fridge in an airtight container or bag, but it will be soft and not stay as fresh.
After breaking apart your Oreo bark, you freeze it for up to three months after making it in a proper container. Allow to set out and warm up a bit before serving so it’s not too hard.
