Chicken salad is one of those foods that seem to be forgotten about when it comes to meal planning. There are so many different ways to make chicken salad besides the classic way, which is a great way not to get tired of an easy dish. Plus, if you are crazy busy, it is easy to batch-make it for the week to help you stay on track and stop grabbing takeout.

Now, let me say, eating chicken salad on bread is not the only way to enjoy it! It can be doubled as a dip eaten with a fork or as a wrap. Plus, no-mayo chicken salad recipes are perfect for lowering the calories!
Tips To Make Healthy Chicken Salads
- Swap out mayo for non-fat Greek yogurt.
- To add more protein, blend in some cottage cheese to the chicken salad dressing
- Add fruits and vegetables to the chicken salad
How To Make Slow Cooked Chicken Shredded
I have a guide here on how to make a large batch of shredded chicken. You can meal-prep enough for the week or freeze it to pull out later!
The CliffsNotes version is to fill your crockpot with chicken breasts and broth. Allow the chicken to cook until it reaches an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees. Remove the chicken from the broth and shred it. Use meat claws or a Kitchen Aid mixer to do so.

Chicken Salad Without Mayo Recipes
Chicken salad with no mayo is tastier than you would think. Trust me, I was initially resistant to it. I used to use Miracle Whip, but these salads with nonfat Greek yogurt increase the protein to make them a high-protein chicken salad as well, even more if you blend in some cottage cheese.
