Now, while I love making 2 Ingredient desserts, Isabella is bummed there aren’t more steps. This recipe does not require an electric mixer, just a spatula; this can even be called a dump cake. Like the other 2 Ingredient cakes, this cake isn’t just for dessert. It makes excellent brunch food. Plus, it’s the perfect summertime cake. We love the moist strawberry chunks in the strawberry cake, but it was also excellent with fresh strawberries.

How To Make Angel Food Cake With Strawberry Pie Filling:
Now I was shopping and found this super cute Mini Angel Food Cake Bundt Pan and knew it would be perfect for trying out with a 2-ingredient angel food cake recipe we were itching to make. I was lazy, so we made four little cakes and put the rest of the batter in a Pyrex pan. You could also use a loaf, tube, or shaped pan. The baking time will vary based on the shapes.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Now you can use a homemade angel food cake. However, I feel that an angel food cake box mix is the easier way to go.
Pour your can of strawberry pie filling into a large mixing bowl, a medium mixing bowl will not hold it all. If you use a medium-sized bowl, it will be tough to mix the ingredients together. Slowly add the box of angel food cake mix. You could use frozen strawberries, but the pie filling works out amazingly to make this Strawberry Angel Food Cake Dessert.

Use a spatula to mix this together slowly, and this turns out to be a thick batter. Mixing this without spilling the powder everywhere is the hardest part of the recipe.
You could use an ungreased angel food cake pan, but I prefer to use greased pans, just know your preference.
Grease your cake pan with shortening; you can use a nonstick spray. This is a complete choice by preference.
Next, pour the mixed cherry angel food cake batter into your pan. I used a spoon to scoop into my mini Angle Food Cake Pan and then put the rest of the batter in my glass Pyrex pan.

After your oven is preheated, bake for about 18 minutes. Now, since this is a pink color batter, the top of the cake will brown a bit. This is normal but also be sure to toothpick test your cake.
Remove and allow to partly cool at least before serving.

How To Serve 2 Ingredient Strawberry Angel Food Cake:
- Flip the bundt cake pan upside down onto a serving plate or parchment paper. You can serve the cake upside if you want. They can also cool upside down before serving.
- When using the mini bundt cake pan, the removable bottom is used. It will have to be removed from the strawberry angel food dessert.
- Top with whipped topping, Cool Whip, or spray whipped cream on the top of cake slices or on the mini bundt cakes.
- If in a baking pan, cut the cake. into about 4-inch slices for serving with a thin knife. A serrated knife or bread knife may not be suitable for cutting the fluffy angel food cake.

- Now, if you want to be really fancy and make a divine dessert, top it with a strawberry sauce to give each cake its own glaze.
- So many different ways to serve this, plus it can be served with vanilla ice cream.
- Now the girls used fresh berries to top theirs and declared the cake a perfect dessert! It turned out a lot like a strawberry shortcake.
- You could also sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar as well.
How To Store 2 Ingredient Strawberry Angel Food Cake
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 or 3 days at room temperature.

I’m so sorry for your loss… I lost a son as well, but it was to melanoma. But I also had a Covid scare last year. I was in the hospital for one month O2 from the end of January to mid April. It is a mighty beast and I’m so sorry you had to experience it in your family… I prayed for you today.

I’ve made a strawberry one and blueberry one and both fall quite a bit when cooling. Still delicious, but like an inch high. I don’t know how to prevent it. Any suggestions?
All angle food cakes will fall by design, that is why the angle food cake pans are designed with a hole in the middle that is used to invert the cake immediately out of the over-n so it will cool up-side down nice and airy and no falling; usually over a large bottle or something to suspend it. This is also the reason you normally don’t grease an angle food cake pan and the cake needs to grip the sides of the pan to be able to cool upside down without falling out. You need to run a knife around the inside walls of the pan to release when cooled. I do the same when I make it in a 9 X 13 pan and invert it immediately onto a metal cooling rack. All this was taught to me while in a grade school Home Econo. class in the 1950’s. Yes I am OLD!! Also 33-38 minutes would be the normal cook time for this cake unless you were using the small bundt pans. You can also do the same thing by replacing the can of pie filling with a can of any flavor soda drink……….orange is very good.

Awful Followed the recipes. 350 for 18 minutes. Brown crusted pink foamy pudding.
Using a angel food mix cake I wrongly made the assumption I did not need to do the egg white part mixture using only the flour part and now I have a gooey strawberry flat cake.. For others out there I suggest you say use cake mix as directed!! Did I mention I am not the best baker in the universe? lol
