I know what you’re thinking: peppermint is just for Christmas. Well, I want to argue and say you are wrong. I love to stock up on these peppermint M&Ms after Christmas sales, but I eat peppermint year-round, and these are just as easy to make for St. Patrick’s Day using mint. And don’t let green be a limiting color. The sky is the limit!

How To Make M&M Brownies
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Grease an 8X8 baking pan with either nonstick spray or crisco. You can use a 9X13 pan to make more and shorter brownies; we prefer thick brownies.
Follow the directions on the brown mix to make the batter. The dry brownie mix, oil, water, and eggs will be the ingredients used in this step.
Mix in ½ a cup of M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits. I used the red and green holiday ones, but you can use regular ones or other holiday themes.
Pour the M&M brownie batter into your baking pan.
Take about half a handful of M&M’S® Brand Minis Milk Chocolate Baking Bits and sprinkle over the top of the batter. This will allow some of the M&MS to be shown on top to serve with or without frosting.
Bake for the time called for on the box and use a toothpick to check they are done; my box called for 45-51 minutes.
Allow to cool completely for a couple of hours or overnight.
Spread your frosting over the top of your cooled-off brownies.
Pro Tip: Go slow-spreading the frosting. The frosting will want to pull the M&Ms up as you start to frost.
Sprinkle with M&M’S® Brand Peppermint candies.
Cut and serve with a nice big glass of milk!!
What is your go-to easy holiday dessert??
How To Store Holiday Brownies
Store leftover brownies in an airtight container. You can store them on the counter or in the fridge. Be sure to eat within 3 days of making them.
