Next to Pumpkin Spice, a Peppermint Mocha Latte has to be one of my favorites. I mean, chocolate and mint make for an amazing combination. And most often it also reminds me of the Christmas holiday season.

I love a good Starbucks latte, but the syrup they use is full of sugar and let’s face it the cost is a drain on the budget as well. Making my coffee drinks at home has saved me money, but also has allowed me to add in protein. I struggle often to up my protein intake so it’s a total win.

A Note From Jenny

When starting any healthy lifestyle, consult a doctor to address any personal health concerns. Some things can only be addressed medically and by a professional. Blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before starting and at least once a year, as these all can affect an active lifestyle.

With so many different programs, such as Weight Watchers, Keto, and macros, it can be hard to know what to pick. (If you’re interested in Weight Watchers, you can sign up -> here and sign up for $10/month for 10 months.)

I personally use the app Myfitnesspal to track my food.  I use macros and focus on High Protein (calories, fat, protein, and carbohydrates) and rotate through cuts and maintenance calories. (Use a calculator like this -> here)  . I did WW for years, but now that I am more maintenance, with cuts throughout the year, and focusing on mobility with strength training. There is no right or wrong answer, as all bodies are different.

How To Make Skinny Peppermint Mocha

Start out by starting up your coffee maker or espresso maker to brew if needed. I chose to use my Keruirg for this one, but the other options work great.

I used a clear Venti Starbucks cup, but any large cup will work. I have a thing for Starbucks cups so it’s always my go-to.

Pour or pump your Skinny Mocha Syrup and Skinny Peppermint Syrup into your cup; I did four pumps of each syrup. The bottles of Skinny Syrup do not come with the pumps, but they have the syrup pumps on Amazon. (See them-> here) We use the fruit syrups on our Red Bull Drinks as well.

Mix the syrup and protein shake together with a frother or whisk while your coffee brews. The milk frother makes the protein shake foam up a bit as it mixes up the coffee and protein shake, but will settle down once the coffee is added and it sets.

Pour the coffee or espresso into the protein shake and use the frother to mix it again.

Add in ice or enjoy as is. I wait to add ice till this step so it melts less when the coffee is added; if your protein shake is cold, it will immediately lower the coffee temperature.

You could blend this to make a Peppermint Mocha Protein Shake if you want to!

Optional topping with whipped topping and sprinkles. I did not track the sprinkles as it was such a small amount, and the amount of topping I used was 0 points.

Skinny Peppermint Mocha Weight Watchers Points

Now the only thing with points besides the sprinkles is the protein shakes! I have three go-to brands, all with 30 grams of protein! Being active, protein is a huge priority to me!

Macros For Peppermint Mocha

The macros for this are calories 150, 3 grams of fat, 4 grams of Carbs, and 30 grams of protein. I do not track he syrups or the whipped topping, they won’t kill my macros since they add so few calories.

I’ve been trying to watch my spending and making Starbucks drinks at home is part of the plan. This peppermint mocha was even better than Starbucks! Who knew saving money would be this tasty haha. I skipped the sprinkles and whipped topping. Still really good without them.
