This Root Beer Protein Shake Recipe did not disappoint. Root Beer floats are a favorite of mine, so this was the perfect quick treat with the warmer weather. Premier Protein has always been one of my favorites for staying on track with WW. This shake tastes like ice cream but works out to only 3 Weight Watchers Points too!

Premier Protein has always been one of my favorites for staying on track with WW. This shake tastes like ice cream but works out to only 3 Weight Watchers points too! The Premier Protin shakes are only 2 Freestyle Smartpoints for a carton! I drink chocolate almost every morning and pack them for when I work out too.
Now, after trying the Orange Creamsicle Protein Shake Recipe (see it -> here), I knew Rootbeer would be a family favorite too!
WHAT IS Weight Watchers?
When starting a new weight loss program or diet change, consult a doctor or physician about personal health concerns. It is a good idea to have blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before and during being on the WW program.
New to Weight Watchers?? Also known as WW, a weight loss program uses points assigned to food to track and lose weight. When you sign up, you take an assessment that will assign you a point value to eat daily and a weekly allowance. You can carry over 4 points from the day into your weekly allowance, which is handy when you need more points.
I have been on Weight Watchers since 2011. They have had Points Plus Value, WW Smartpoints, blue plan, green plan, purple plan, WW Personal Points, and now Weight Watchers Points. The new Weight Watchers Simplified plan is the new program launched in November 2022 similar to previous plans like WW Smartpoints, with some color plans.
No matter the WW plan, they work to help you learn healthy eating habits. I have hit lifetime goal weight several times but stopped operating the plan and tracking, so the weight does creep back on. You stay on as a lifetime member, working towards your goal. Head on over ->here to get a month for free.
Root Beer Protein Shake Recipe Ingredients:
- Premier Protein Vanilla– I use ready-to-drink protein shakes; you can use a powder if you want; mix it before adding the flavoring. If you use a brand outside of premier protein, recalculate points.
- Ice
- Root Beer Water Flavoring
- Fat-Free Whipped Topping

How To Make Root Beer Protein Shakes:
I used my Nina Bl482 blender ->here; I have used this for years for fruit smoothies, so I knew the ice wouldn’t be a problem for blending.
In your blender cup or blender, pour in your Premier Protein and add in your Root Beer powder stick.

Blend until the powder is dissolved, and then add ice.
Blend until ice is well blended.
*You may be able to find the root beer in liquid flavoring, but I had no luck finding it.*

I used the auto setting on my Ninja for mixing but allowed it to mix until the ice was crushed and blended.
Pour into a glass and top with Fat-Free Whipped Topping.
For the store brand of whipped topping I used, I can go up to 7 tablespoons for one Weight Watchers Point. It was hard to guess how much was there since it came out of the spray can.

Ready To Drink Protein Shakes:
These shakes are 11 Fl Oz and Have 30 Grams of Protein and only 1g sugar in each with a creamy texture! They do have artificial flavors, but I don’t find them too potent or fake flavored. They have been an excellent tool for my weight loss as they are quick and easy and make great drinks recipes!
Whey Protein Concentrate Powder
You could make this and split it into two servings if you wanted to as well for even fewer points.
