It’s no secret that I love to grill – and music is always on in the background!! On Memorial Day, the weather was amazing and it was the perfect day to try out a new smoker recipe! Smoked chicken is one of my favorites, but I had never made a brine before. Since I love to cook with Coca-Cola™ , I had to try out my hand at creating a Coca-Cola brine. I have to say, it turned out pretty fantastic!
Sweet And Smokey Coca-Cola Chicken Ingredients:

- 2 liter Coca-Cola
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄2 cup honey BBQ Sauce
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons salt
- Ice

Sweet And Smokey Coca-Cola Chicken Directions:
Take a large plastic container or bucket and place your chicken in it.
Pour the 2-liter of Coca-Cola into the container over your chicken.
Add the other ingredients to the container (on top of your chicken). Mix well.
Add ice to make sure the chicken is fully submerged in the Coca-Cola brine mixture.
Soak your chicken in the Coca-Cola brine combination for about 24 hours before smoking. Be sure to keep adding ice to the mixture to keep the chicken really cold. The chicken staying so cold helps the brine absorb into the chicken faster!
Start your smoker up with the water and wood chips to get a good smoke going.
Spray your smoker racks with a non stick spray (optional).
Place your chicken on the racks in the smoker. Keep your smoker at about 225 degrees and smoke for about 3 hours.
*Be sure to use a food thermometer to make sure your chicken is cooked to the right temperature!
I love the new Share a Coke bottles. They are covered with music lyrics!! We are always singing, and, of course, don’t forget the embarrassing dancing that this mom is guilty of doing!
