Isn’t it funny how our lives kind of shift with the change of the seasons? It’s something I have slowly started to notice as the years have gone by. In the winter and fall, we tend to have people over on Sundays, occasionally, maybe a Saturday. Summertime seems to be open game for both the kids’ friends and our family friends, to stop by at all times of the day and even night. Now, I am going to go on record and say that I am so relieved I only have one bathroom downstairs. I would not want to deal with more than one bathroom for guests. We are not messy people but, let’s face it, the bathroom isn’t one of the places you think of when you think of fresh and clean, especially if you have kids.
Tips to Keep Your Bathroom Guest-Ready In Under 10 Minutes:
Deep Clean Once A Week- Having a fresh slate once a week really makes a difference. I have chosen Thursday or Friday to do my deep scrub down so it’s extra clean heading into the weekend, which is when we end up with guests the most often.
Extra Linens- Just being able to swap out your hand towel can improve the appearance of your bathroom and freshen it up as well! I have two extra hand towels for my bathroom.
Keep Stocked Up With Essentials- Extra toilet paper, tissues, and hand soap go a long way to keep the bathroom ready for any last-minute guests. Plus, the best part is that it can help keep the guests from looking through cabinets or drawers. I always make sure there is extra toilet paper next to our toilet. This is also good when you do your weekly cleaning. It allows you to double-check your stock of items and make sure it’s all good to go on a week-to-week basis.
Easy Access To Cleaners: Seriously, this may be my favorite. It is so easy if you didn’t get to clean the bathroom before the guests get there, to excuse yourself to the bathroom and do a quick freshening up. Plus, the paper towels will make it easy for quick mess clean up and wipe down of counters. Now, I love that the Scrubbing Bubbles® Bubbly Bleach Gel Toilet Bowl Cleaner has a lid that comes off completely and can be screwed back on!!
The neck allows you to be able to really get up under the rim of your toilet as well! I am sure if you have boys (or some men) using your bathrooms, I don’t need to tell you why this is an important feature of any bathroom product. Plus, I love that it bubbled up so you could really see where you cleaned and that the smell is fresh, not bleachy. (My pictures did not turn out of the bubbles when scrubbing because they were white.)
Use Scrubbing Bubbles ® Fresh Gel Toilet Cleaning Stamps: These stamps pair up amazing with Scrubbing Bubbles® Bubbly Bleach Gel Toilet Bowl Cleaner!! With the Scrubbing Bubbles ® Fresh Gel Toilet Cleaning Stamps, I love that you just set them and forget about them. The stamps are the perfect way to make sure the toilet stays cleaner, longer; they help to keep the toilet fresh for 12 days!!!
Each one comes with six stamps and you literally just stamp them inside of your toilet. My next one will go more on the front so it won’t be visible but for this, I put the stamp on the side so it was easier to see. I made sure I flushed it once before I stamped it in the bowl to make sure the stream of water would hit the stamp.
I have to say it does smell amazing, and with lasting 12 days, I can’t wait to see how well it holds up to our weekend guests, and of course, the three kids! I plan on picking up a couple more the next time I am at Walmart to stick in my other bathrooms (don’t ask me why I only picked up one for three bathrooms).
