The holidays are coming!! Are you ready for them? I have to say I start to plan out our gifts early. It makes the holidays so much easier on the budget, and it gives us time to think outside the box with unique gift ideas! The perfect gift doesn’t have to be hard to make up.

Have you ever had that person who is impossible to buy for because they buy everything they need or want on their own? Let me tell you that it is my parents! As much fun as it may not seem to be, gift cards are the best gift option for them. We were at Walmart picking up Kylie’s concert outfit and some groceries when we found the unique holiday display of gift cards!!

Kylie jumped right on the Red Robin cards! $50 and a free $10 gift card! This is one of the few restaurants both my parents can agree on. Now, my mom isn’t the kind that likes to go to theaters often at night, so we opted to make a movie night in to pair up with their Red Robin gift cards.

What To Put In Movie Night Gift Baskets

  • DVDs are for the movie lover. I love to pick them up on Black Friday at Walmart, Amazon, and Target. Keep in mind movies for kids for a family movie night basket.
  • Snacks- Make sure there are enough snacks for everyone, and are the recipient’s favorite snacks
  • Scented Candles
  • Card Games
  • Wine glasses and wine
  • Recipients favorite beverage
  • Movie Ticket or gift card for local theater
  • Gift Cards to local ice cream places

Ideas for Treats

Their favorite snacks and candy will also make great additions to a gift basket. These are some ideas to get your brain working. I’ve made baskets for families and donations and used individually packaged snacks, so I could easily make more than one gift basket.

How To Package A Movie Night Basket

Place everything in a basket or container.

You can use tissue paper to add color or fill it. Kylie picked out the gift packaging from the Christmas aisle at Walmart for our basket.

Place all the items in and then wrap them with colored or clear cellophane. (Amazon has a lot of choices -> here!)

Seal with a ribbon or a handmade bow.
