This Cream Cheese Chicken Crock Pot is one of my family’s favorite dinners!! Ever have those weeks where dinner time is impossible?? There are weeks that if it wasn’t for my crockpot dinner time would have been a disaster! I love quick and easy-to-throw-together meals for the crockpot!

(I have included affiliate links to products I love. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.) In addition, this post contains affiliate links that will make me a small commission when used to order online.

I am not the biggest fan of cream cheese but with the sales, this time of year I have been picking up a lot of cream cheese. I have been pairing up the sale price with Ibotta rebates to save more. I have to say this recipe has me finding new ways to cook with cream cheese.

Now I have several crockpots and love them. I have them in all sizes and they all serve their use. Not sure what size crockpot to buy? Check out my guide-> here on what size is best for your family.

Cream Cheese Chicken Crock Pot Ingredients:

  • Cream Cheese– You can allow this to soften to room temperature and even cut up into smaller cubes to put in the crockpot.
  • Italian dressing seasoning
  • Chicken Breast– I use boneless skinless chicken breasts, other cuts of boneless meat will work but dark meat will be greaser.
  • Cream of Chicken

How To Make Cream Cheese Chicken Crock Pot

Spray your crockpot with nonstick spray.  *I doubled the recipe this time to make a bigger batch in my 8-quart crockpot. If you don’t want to spray you can use a crockpot liner for easy cleanup.

Place your chicken breasts into the bottom of the crockpot.

This may sound stupid, but cooked chicken breasts or raw? I know some people are afraid to leave raw chicken to slow cook so wasn’t sure…

I do raw, I know some people even do frozen. Just be sure to use a food thermometer to test the temperature and you are good to go.

It is 8. I’ve made this 30 times. Lol. Family and friend favorite! Great to put together in a ziplock as a freezer meal for a sick friend.

Does the cream cheese not split? I’ve tried something similar before and it’s always split!

I’m not sure what you mean by split, but I actually toss the cream cheese into the warm crock for a few then stir the soup and seasonings well and put chicken on top. It needs a good fork stir, breaking up and unmixed chunks of cream cheese, but it’s always been creamy and delicious for me.

With 8 oz of cream cheese, I’m going to guess at least 4 chicken breasts. Looks like this makes a lot of “gravy” so maybe even 6. But I’d try four the first time.

I make this all the time . Becareful how long you cook it. I use the frozen chicken breast from Costco that I thaw and it is fully cooked in 3 hours on LOW. Not the 6-8 hours.

How smart to post this recipe at this time of year. Most people think that crock pots are only for winter, but they are actually wonderful for the summer because they generate so little heat and use little energy. Much better than cranking up the oven in the house you are paying to cool down, right?
