Bacon Stuffed Cheeseburgers are the perfect burgers to make to celebrate summer and warm weather. They are easy to make when burger press and sure to be a hit at any bbq get together. Plus stuffing the bacon in the burger allows it to absorb the flavor into the burge
Lay parchment paper on a baking sheet and spread out your slices of bacon.
Bake your bacon for about ten minutes, you can do longer it will slightly cook ont
Now to fill your burger press and make your patty it's really easy. You simply put the white lifter into the base and cover it with ground beef. Then smash it down the black handled piece (Michael called it the burger hulk since it smashed!). We laid two pieces of bacon in ours and covered it with a slice of cheese. This is where you could be creative and stick other veggies, meats, or cheese to your burger. Top your filling with more beef and smash it up again. This will create a good seal around the filing with the meat. Now throw them on the grill!!
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with your seasonings.
Fire your grill up to a low-medium heat.
Use a nonstick spray or oil to grease up your burger press to stop the ground beef from sticking to it.
Cut your cooked bacon into smaller pieces to fit in your burger press
Ball up a small amount of meat and smash it into the bottom of the press, once it is covered and thick enough lay in one or two half pieces of bacon.
Top with more seasoned meat and finish shaping your burger.
Cook on the grill away from direct heat.
Use a meat thermometer to verify the burger is cooked throughly
