This 2 Ingredient Cherry Angel Food Cake Recipe is so easy to make! This easy dessert is perfect for BBQs and potlucks! This easy cake uses cherry pie filling and angel food cake mix to make an easy dessert! Serve with whipped topping or cool whip! This is easy to make for a brunch, Valentine's day, or a potluck as well!! No need to measure or use eggs to make!

  • 1 Can Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 Box Angel Food Cake


  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pour your can of cherry pie filling into a large bowl, a medium bowl will not hold it all, and then slowly add the box of angel food cake mix.

  3. Use a spatula to mix this together slowly, this turns out to be a thick batter. 

  4. Grease your cake pan with shortening, you can use a nonstick spray this is a complete choice by preference. Or use an ungreased pan.

  5. Next, pour the mixed cherry angel food cake batter into your pan. I used a spoon to scoop into my mini Angle Food Cake Pan and then put the rest of the batter in my glass Pyrex pan.

  6. After your oven is preheated bake for about 18 minutes, now since this is a pink color batter the top of the cake will brown a bit.  This is normal

  7. Serve!
