Grilled BBQ Wings are a great for summer time grilling!! I love that these are only three ingredients and they are ingredients I have in my house as staples
Pour your soy sauce into a gallon food storage bag.
Next, place the wingettes into the bag and mix the wingettes in the bag until they are coated in soy sauce. You can add more soy sauce if you need to.
Allow your wingettes to sit in the bag, and start to get your grill ready.
There is no specific time to allow the wingettes to set in the soy sauce if doing it the night before storing them in the fridge. You will want to allow the wingettes closer to room temperature when throwing them on the grill.
Spray your grill with nonstick spray, or rub down with oil, and fire it up.
You will want to cook on medium-high heat with the wings away from the heat.
Spray your grill with nonstick spray, or rub down with oil, and fire it up. Watch for your grill to warm mine hit 300 fairly quickly.
Use tongs to pull the wingettes out of the bag. I shook the wingettes in the bag out of the sauce to shake excess soy sauce off the wings.
Place on the top rack of the grill.
Allow your wings to cook for about 8-10 minutes, and flip them. They will turn slightly golden even with the soy sauce.
While the other side is browning, grab a silicone basting brush and put your bbq sauce in a bowl or container.
Once your wings are browned on both sides, coat both sides in bbq sauce heavily with your basting brush.
Allow the wings to continue to cook on the grill to allow the sauce to caramelize.
You won't want to leave them there too long, or the sauce will blacken. I flipped mine to make sure both sides had the chance to thicken.
Use a meat thermometer to verify they are 165 degrees before removing them to serve.
