Begin heating your vegetable oil in a pot on your stove. I warmed mine up on medium heat and it was hot enough to cook the donuts.
To shape, the donuts flatten biscuits and use something to put a hole in the middle of the biscuit. An apple corer to create mine.
You can tear up the biscuits and ball them up for doughnut holes.
Carefully place your biscuit in the oil, I use a metal strainer with a handle to set the biscuits in, to flip the donuts, and to remove them from the oil.
After about 3-4 minutes check the biscuit and flip to make sure both sides cook.
Remove and place them onto mine onto a cookie rack on a cookie sheet to drain excess oil.
Once dripped or partially cool use a fork to roll them into the icing and then place them back on the rack to let extra icing drip off.
You can also sprinkle the doughnuts!
If you don't want to ice you can also roll the warm doughnuts into cinnamon sugar.
How To Make Biscuit Donuts With An Air Fryer
Spray your Air Fryer racks with a nonstick spray.
Use a shot glass or an apple corer to cut a hole in the center of the biscuit.
Spray your air fryer rack or basket. I personally have the PowerXL 8 Quart Air Fryer that I received to review and love, the racks work amazing for cooking for a bigger family.
Spread out on your Air Fryer rack and cook at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
Flip the doughnuts on the air fryer rack and back for another 5 minutes at 350 degrees,
Remove and dip in icing or roll in cinnamon sugar.
Set on a cooling rack and allow extra icing to drip off.
Serve and enjoy!
How To Make Donuts With Biscuits A Waffle Maker:
Start by spraying your waffle maker with cooking spray.
Plugin your waffle maker and turn it on if needed.
Take the biscuits out of the tube and separate them.
Put 1 biscuit in the center of the waffle maker and close the lid.
Cook the biscuit for about 2 minutes or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining biscuits.
Dip at least one side of each donut into the glaze. And place on a baking rack to allow the icing to drip off. I did both sides for a sweeter doughnut. Top with sprinkles if you want.
