Thank you to HGTV Santa HQ and Washington Square Mall for hosting us at the Santa HQ and sponsoring this post. Regardless all posts are true to our expeirence with Santa HQ.
Would you believe that at the ages of 8, 10, and 12 my kids have only ever visited with a Santa once!! With them getting older I realized I had better get them to one before they get to be teenagers. I have to say taking them to the HGTV Santa HQs was the perfect way to start off our holiday season this year! If you haven’t been before you are in for a huge treat!
When you have the app there are ways you can see the elf all around the Santa HQs! If there is a line it’s a great way to pass the time and build the excitement for the kids as well!! We got lucky since we went for Black Friday there was hardly a line and we were able to zip on thru. But don’t worry you can make appointments as well!
First stop was a family picture, I do have to say that we loved the photo props!! Everyone was quick to designate Kylie as the naughty holder. It’s not often as the mom I get in the photos so that makes this even more special for me as well.
Next up was the naughty or nice list! The kids stood and they were “scanned” for being naughty or nice. Thank goodness all came thru as nice, and you can see Bella was excited to see that her name showed up on the nice list!
Next up was Santa HQ. This is the room that was Michael’s favorite. Here is where they got to make Elfie Video using tablets in the room to take their selfies, and then it was made into a video! They had a blast watching their heads on the elves bodies.
Next up was the Control Center, this room was Kylies’s favorite. This room is where the app really came into play for us, this slacker mom hadn’t done her research so I didn’t have the app on my phone.
The control room was full of tablets that when pointed to the gears on the walls they could see what the elves were doing in Santa’s workshop. They could also touch things on the app to make more happen with the elves and even presents on the app. Plus you can print out the gears to have the app work at home as well.
Next up was the long-awaited visit with Santa himself!! Bella was so excited to climb up she went running right up to him. I loved how Santa took the time to talk to her, and she even did a spin for him in her new dress to make the skirt spin.
We had pictures taken of each kid with Santa individually and then a group picture of all three kids taken as well.
Have you visited HGTV Santa HQs before??
