I am a part of the Zaycon Influencer program. This post contains referral links, regardless all opinions are my own and our love for Zaycon Fresh started long before this site was started.
Let’s face it with three kids, and eating a high protein-based diet we go through a lot of meat for our meals. But since I am a bit of a meat snob it all has to be lean and easy to make at the same time as well. An even better perk is ordering from home in my pjs and picking it up in my pjs from a truck even better!! Wait you don’t get your meat from a truck?? Well if you have never heard of Zaycon Fresh you need to check them out!!! ( you can see more -> here)
Now it’s not like buying in bulk to save money is new! However I hate going to the store, hauling the kids, and you really have to hunt for a good deal or meat markdowns it seems like. Now there are a couple tricks to ordering Zaycon products and making sure you are stocking up the right way!
Know what your family needs– Make sure you monitor what your family goes through to help plan out how much to order from Zaycon. I tend to order 1-2 cases of chicken at a time since they have fall and spring events. But I order more in the fall since we seem to go through more chicken breasts in the winter time.
Have a way to package up your products- The chicken comes in bulk thawed so I use my food saver to seal it up. The ground turkey and the ground beef comes in tubes pre-frozen. I love that the turkey comes in boxes of 10 frozen tubes (4 boxes). The ground beef comes in a 10 lb tube (4 tubes) but they fit in my freezer then I cook up 10 pounds at a time and freeze it up (see → here for how to prep your ground beef cooked for easy dinners)
Read how it is packaged– The turkey has been my favorite I love the are individual rolls. Plus they slide in great in small spaces in the freezer and the small four boxes are easy to move around as well. But you will need to know how it is coming to package it when you do your pick up!
Get the emails– They send promo codes in addition to their killer pricing!! (sign up → HERE) When I ordered my turkey I had a promo code so I ended up paying 85.86 for 40lbs of ground turkey which worked out to $2.15 a lb!!! Now ground turkey in our area goes on sale for $5 a lb often. Huge savings and it came packaged for long term storage. The most common promo code is 12%, for instance, my last chicken case was $52.81 after a promo code making it $1.32 a lb, common sale in my area is $1.99!
Have you used Zaycon before?? I would love to hear about your experience with Zaycon!
