It’s the time of the year, it’s January. I know like most people I have reflected on my goals from last year and am setting new ones for this year. Instead of focusing on just losing weight, my overall goal is healthy eating as often as possible for the whole family! Know I don’t know about your family but we are BUSY!! For my kids, I have two in soccer year round then my oldest is into several non-sports activities and on the go nonstop as well. As any mom who is taxing around kids planning ahead is the best way to be able to stay on track with eating healthy. That’s where my one of my favorites come into play, Special K!

Soccer Mom Guide To Healthy Eating:
Plan Ahead- Knowing where you are heading and how long you will be gone makes a huge difference!!! The night before I make sure to map out what my day looks like and plan out my meals and my snacks! This helps to make sure that I won’t hit up a drive-thru or pick up junk food while I am out and about.
Water- Seriously this can make a huge difference in your hunger, making sure to hydrate can help to curb some of your hunger cravings! Plus the more you drink the more steps you will be able to squeeze in for bathroom breaks, super handy when practice is on the other side of the field from the bathroom.
Protein Bars- I love having these on hand, they have 8 grams of protein and flavors. Keeping extra of these in the car is perfect for when you hit traffic or get stuck somewhere longer than you thought you would. The Caramel Pretzel cashew is my personal favorite to grab.
Fruit- This can also help to keep at bay and also is a low-calorie snack for when you just want to kinda munch. Plus fruit tends to have other added benefits to it.
Snack Foods– Now there are times when you just wanna snack to snack, not the best thing in the world to do. I know during stressful soccer games it can be nice to be able to pop some snacks in my mouth. I love the Special K® Protein Bites I bagged up a serving size and threw them in the car to put in my bag at the game!!
Keep Extras In The Car– Like most moms, we spend a lot of time in the car! Keeping water and the snacks on hand can help you to keep healthy eating goals on track and attainable as well.
