Life with kids can get messy very fast, even when you are trying to get them clean. When it was just my oldest it was so much easier to keep her clean and my shower clean at the same time! Moms who warned me about boys being so much messier were not lying it is no joke how messy those boys can get. There are times I have sworn the kids went in cleaner then the dirt they leave in the tub!!! Over the years I have found some easy shortcuts that have made keeping the shower clean a bit easier to do!!
Shortcuts To Keep A Shower Clean
- Store Your Toys Out Of The Tub- Keep a container to store the toys in that isn’t in the tub. We keep ours in a container next to the tub. It keeps the bottom of the tub not cluttered up in between the kid’s baths and the parents won’t step on them.
- Use Bath Paint At The End Of Tub-There have been times my kids started with the paint and it ended up dried and a pain to get off of the walls if it has a chance to dry. We always let the kids use the bath paints at the end of the bath so they are easier to wash off the wall.
- Have Your Kids Help- We started early with having the kids help getting the tub clean as they are getting out of the tub. We have the kids rinse the toys off and also spray/wipe down the walls of the shower as well.
Having a shower door vs shower curtain can make a difference too in how easy a shower is to keep clean. Have you heard about the new Sterling Prevail shower door? Sterling shower doors with ComforTrack technology feature a flexible bottom track that supports the shower door’s glide and yields an easier, safer day-to-day use for the family- the Sterling Prevail shower door is the perfect addition to your shower!
ComforTrack’s cushioned threshold bends to applied pressure, allowing the user to kneel, sit, or lean on the track, making it easier and more comfortable to bathe a child or a pet, access the shower, or clean the bathing/showering space.
This new technology is not only flexible, it is extremely durable – its heavy-duty material withstands rigorous testing, ensuring that it will outlast day-to-day wear and tear. What’s more, the track features a low profile and sleek shape that is easy to keep clean. This innovation is truly a win-win for today’s homeowner!
Do you prefer shower doors or curtains?? And how do you keep your shower clean with kids?

Great tips! I need new shower doors, because after 22 years it’s impossible to keep them clean.
