It seems as my son is getting older he is being invited to more sleepovers and overnight events. Well since he has had problems with occasional bed wetting it can be hard for him to go places and not feel embarrassed that he has to put on something for bed wetting. Even worse when none of the other kids there have to. It can seem very noticeable, even though I am sure they can’t tell, he knows that he isn’t’ wearing underwear like the other kids. As a mom I was excited to see that GoodNites has come out with a new product called TruFit.
The thing about TruFit that intrigued me is that it’s like underwear not like any other night time protection. Recently Michael tried out for a premier soccer team. At the age of 7 he leveled up two years from U8 to U10 select team! As a mom it kills me to see how he can show so much confidence on the soccer field but struggle so much when it comes to night time bedwetting he struggles so much. As we are planning out team tournaments and events he has been worried about what will happen when he has to stay the night some were with the team or sleep overs with the team.

He was excited to pack his bag for a sleepover with his buddy!! We did throw in an extra liner into a zipper pocket for him in case he needed it for some reason that night. We talked about his “game plan” for the sleepover and it went off without a hitch!! He was so excited he had a plan and that he was able to go to without feeling nervous. As a mom, I was excited he was not ashamed or nervous about not fitting in. His confidence about sleepovers is amazing and as a mom, I want to see him be able to rest peacefully at home and other places.
How do you encourage self-esteem and confidence in your kids? I’d love to hear how the GoodNites TruFit Starter Pack would be put to use in your home!
