Can you believe it is already July? Sitting at the fourth of July fireworks it hit me: Summer will be over soon!! Now, I love living in the Northwest. The best part is I am two hours from the ocean! My daughter and I decided to take off for the coast with a girlfriend and her kids for a quick getaway. This was my first mother/daughter trip like this and I have to say we had a blast!! With it being a quick trip to the beach (we planned it two nights before we went), it was a scramble to get things together. Even though we were staying in a hotel, both of us were mostly focused on the items for the beach! We had a blast walking on the beach, digging for shells, walking through tide pools, and shopping at the beach shops. I even buried my own feet in the sand as did Kylie (something we haven’t done in years)!
