Can you believe that we are a couple weeks into the new football season?? I mean does it get better than Monday night, Thursday night, and all day Sunday with football, plus the college games on Saturday as well. Michael and I love to watch the games, and well the girls love the food. Thank you to Red Baron for sponsoring this post.
Ever since preseason started, we have been watching the games and of course making amazing food. Now that the kids are back in school, soccer has started, after-school clubs are going on, and life is just crazy it has become harder to throw together food on days we get home as the game starts! One thing I have found is frozen pizzas really save my butt when it comes to our tailgating on weeknights and weekends with soccer practice thrown in.
Another time saver and money saver is Sam’s Club! I can’t tell you how excited I was to see the Red Baron pizzas for sale there, plus they were just the right size for the kids for tailgating. Now we tend not to be hungry all at the same time unless of course, you are a Michael who is always hungry. Being able to warm up what is needed at a time if perfect for saving money and we aren’t wasting food from overcooking. Plus there are times kids are coming and going at different times so it can be hard to know when everyone will want to eat. How cool is it that the pizzas come individually wrapped??
Now with how busy we are it can be hard to keep my head on straight at times. I have created a printable checklist (you can print yours ->here) to help me remember to set everything out for our tailgating at home. I always try to have a good variety of food out all the time for the kids to eat and snack from during the game.
Now, these are what we always try to have out for our tailgating, one thing about the list that is great is if we are coming home from like Michaels soccer game it’s easy to see what is left to be pulled out. Plus doesn’t it just feel like we accomplished more checking things off the list??
