Cleaning While Holiday Baking With Kids seems daunting while it is ongoing or even an oxymoron.  However, it can be manageable. Thank you to Neato Robotics for sponsoring this post. This post contains affiliate links that will earn me a small commission when ordering from Neato Robotics.

I didn’t personally learn to cook or bake until I was an adult! But, I have loved having my kids in the kitchen learning with me from a young age. While it has taught them important life lessons, it’s also taught me lessons on being a mom and my cleaning skills. I mean, let’s face it… they are kids, and accidents happen.  And let’s be honest, baking with adults can also be just as messy!

Cleaning The Floors While Baking With Kids:

When my kids were little, I wish I had a Neato Robotics for the whole house.  Not having to vacuum would be amazing.  However, one awesome thing is these are great for getting crumbs, sugar, flour, and all that off the floor without any effort.  Sounds like a dream come true, right?? Head on over -> here to check out all Neato Robotics products.

The Dishes While In The Kitchen With Kids:

Dishes are one part of baking that can kick your butt.  However, I have learned over the years to start with an empty dishwasher and have a sink full of soapy dishwater.  Being able to soak and load the dishes right away will make cleaning up easier and get done faster.

Cleaning The Counter Tops While Holiday Baking With Kids:

Having wipes handy for quick wipe-downs and a roll of paper towels will save you a lot of headaches as well.  These two items will allow you to clean up messes on the go quickly and before they get too bad. It never fails when we are making frosting; someone spills the food coloring on the counter.

Cleaning The Kids Up After Baking:

Aprons are a must for the kids. The apron will protect their clothing and allow you to remove the aprons if the messes are huge.  When my kids were little, they would do a lot in just an apron; skin is much easier to wipe down when making cookies.

Lots of hand soap and extra towels are perfect for keeping the kid’s hands clean.  Handwashing is a great habit to instill early in kids, especially in the kitchen. If the kids learn early, it’s a habit they do without thinking.  And I say extra soap as my kids used to do five pumps of soap each time they washed their hands!
