There are several Ways Get Ready For Back To School With Healthy Habits!! I know we try to keep our school year habits up over the summer but we have slipped up some. This post was sponsored by Nature Made® as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. (I have included links to some great products that I have bought on my own and we love. You can buy them as well through my online sales links.)
It’s coming!! Are you ready for it?? It’s that time of year!! School is right around the corner! We go back right after Labor Day, and, while the kids are dreading it, I can’t wait. Don’t get me wrong. I love my kids, but I know how much they love going to school (even though they won’t admit it) to see friends. And they love to learn as well! A little bit of planning can go a long way in kicking off the school year with healthy habits.
I am thankful that my mother was smart in the ways she raised me to be ready for back to school Having those habits stick has helped me to get my kids’ new school year off on the right start. It really can make a difference in how excited and ready the kids can be for the school year.
5 Ways Get Ready For Back To School With Healthy Habits
Bedtime– Starting to enforce a proper bedtime two weeks before school starts will make a world of difference. Typically for us, the first week is getting the kids back into a routine of a normal – not summertime – bedtime. It is more strictly enforced the second week of the routine.
Wake Up Time– Just like bedtime, starting to get the kids up at a normal school time is important! I don’t know about you, but most days my kids like to sleep until 10 o’clock if I let them! We get back in the habit of getting up, eating right away, getting dressed, and what not to get them back into better habits.
Mental Prep- Be sure to talk to kids about the new school year is so important. Talk to them about teacher assignments, classes, homework, transportation, etc. Often times, I have noticed my kids won’t ask questions but will normally talk about concerns openly if I start the conversation. This helps to ease any back-to-school jitters, which hopefully means a smoother back to school for everyone.
Limit Screen Time- Be sure you are getting back to school habits when it comes to screen time. Limit time watching TV shows and playing video games. Doing so will help with their back-to-school bedtime routine as well.
Start-Up With Good Habits- Make sure your kids are practicing good eating and nutritional habits as well. With summer being relaxed, it is easy to make some not so great food choices and let vitamins go by the wayside. Start to really drive good habits home with the other routines to really start the school year strong!
I don’t know about you, but my kids seem to have tried every type of kids vitamin out there. It seems one will like one, and the other two will hate it. With three kids, it seems really hard to find a happy medium when it comes to some things! I love that all three kids loved these vitamins when we tried Nature Made® KIDS FIRST®! Do you know what it’s like to have just one bottle of vitamins for all three kids? It is almost as freeing as that first day of school!! Plus, we picked them up at one of our favorite stores: Target! As a mom, you can’t get any easier than that, right?
